Johnson County Rescue Attempt Uses Drone! And It Was Cool!

Rope Strung From Road To People On Porch
And That's How The Rope Got There

Edit: So much for the rope. With the water receding and the guy even talking to WFAA on the phone calmly saying everything is fine, a blackhawk helicopter (????!!!!)  comes in to airlift them.

A little waste of OUR tax dollars. The pics on TV showed the water level below a kids wagon level in the yard--he should have been able to walk out by then.

Look!! The water is almost up to the center of the wheel on the car in the photo!

What a waste of resources.

Idiotic comments. Can't you see the home pushed back on it's platform? Everything is NOT fine, no matter how calm people are.

A blog that celebrates when students get molested and hates when helicopters rescue people.

11:45. Give it a break. THIS was a waste. They could have crawled to the road

I'm confused. One house is white and the other is pink.

I also wondered why they didn't wade out no running water that I could see.

I wished we had a drone to get a line out to a stranded guy last weekend.

It wasn't a waste. Yes, the helicopter picked the people up, but if the water got him before that happened, the line and the personal floatation device would save him.

The internet commandos here sure are certain about water conditions on a photograph that they're looking at days later from a helicopter view.
