. . . remember last night when I looked on our lists of recorded shows and saw that I recorded the 6:00 p.m. newscast of Fox 4 news? Remember that I told you that I wanted to show you something but, after scanning through it, I couldn't remember what it was because I'm going senile? This is what I wanted to show you. Two bobcats in Carrollton yesterday.
The news had an "expert" on who said these animals are absolutely no threat to humans. What.Eva.Er.

Bobcat, "Why are you yelling? You're a foot from me!"
Not a threat unless the human happens to be a young child playing in his or her own backyard and a hungry bobcat saunters by. But surely the child could take evasive action or scare the harmless bobcat away.
Growing up as a teen, I shared a house with a Bobcat! He even had his own bedroom! My stepmom worked at a rescue shelter for animals of such and he became a family pet... We also had a Cockatoo, a spider monkey and a ferret and a Dingo! Never a dull moment at our house! We lived in a neighborhood like this one, but in a much smaller town. The animals were very well cared for, but meal time was always a bit tricky!
I would agree -- no threat. However if you pick one up to give it a little kitty love..... 1.7 seconds later you will hardpressed to find a square inch of your body that is not suffering from a deep laceration or significant punture wound.
Bobcats seem to have longer legs than they had 60+ years ago. Maybe they are changing for faster movement and less tree climbing. Either evolving or God told them to grow longer legs.
Back then it was real exciting when the coon hounds treed a bobcat.

Well, they're probably not a threat, unless you corner one and the only way out is through YOU!
Remember the cat fights on this blog?
I miss those days....NOT.
Nope, not a threat at all.
BUT, HOLY COW what I would give to have a nice easy shot with my bow on either of those cats! You could ease open the front door and drop one easy!
Without a doubt, some idiotin' city-dweller will try to hand feed one.

The GOP Bobcat just walked away after he lost...LOL
