Texas Judge About Another Texas Judge: He may "hurt or kill someone"

This isn't from our neck of the woods, but I've never seen anything quite like it. It seems like there are many people in Galveston who think this judge is going to go off.  Story.

And there's even a website asking for him to be removed (which has a lot of background stories.)

Why can't I find him on the State Bar website? Surely a CCL judge would have to be a licensed attorney, right?

Man, there's something in the water in Galveston--the Harris County criminal courthouse recently received a warning that the the former Galveston County District Clerk, who still had an old LEO uniform, may pose a threat and go nutty in the courthouse:

Dupuy is on the State Bar website. He graduated from the University of Houston law school.

My bad for not finding him on the bar website. I must have typed his name wrong.

I looked at that website and read some of the pleadings from the Galveston clerk's office. Man, that is a screwed up deal. It is hard to tell who's right and who's wrong. Maybe they are both wrong. That Laird gal has gone above and beyond attacking Dupuy--and she's representing Dupuy's ex-wife in an active case? How does that work? Judge or not, I don't see how a lawyer can have an active website attacking the opposing party in a case. Seems highly unprofessional.

One thing you can be sure of: If Judge Susan Criss is against him, he must be OK.

Surprised? What are the qualifications for a county judge? Be lawyers that aren't smart enough to have a private practice?

Insert comment about how the world would be a better place if they had never let women be lawyers.

"he may go off soon" Does he suffer from premature adjudification or somethin?

If the folks in Galveston County are calling him as crazy, they should know. Remember Judge Kent that was their federal judge. He is still serving time in Florida. Makes me smile everytime I think about him there.

Is Ted Cruz from Galveston? That would explain a lot.

The Honorable Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, Canada. Kay Bailey Hutchison, however, was born in Galveston. So was Barry White (Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Shaft).

Is Obama from Galveston? That would explain a lot.

You don't have to be a lawyer to be a county judge in many counties. Baylor Too may want to remember that, too.

Me too, Upstairs, and I even got good rulings out of Kent.

Rage, constitutional county judges don't have to be lawyers, but county court-at-law judges do. If there's an exception, I haven't seen it. Since this is County Court No. 3, it has to be a county court-at-law, since there's only one constitutional county court per county. Muldrow didn't raise no fool.

I always love it when Rage gets bitch slapped but then I bet he does too.

A count judge that is mentally defective- now, what are the odds...?

I'd hit that.
