I finally got to see the ESPN documentary on Steve Bartman over the weekend,
Catching Hell. It was absolutely fantastic. From the interviews of those who were around him to the security card who actually took him to her apartment to hide him out that night, it's an examination of human nature. A human nature that can be very, very ugly.

I'm a huge Cubs fan. I was mad at the time and it still saddens me at the possible lost opportunity but I do not blame BARTMAN! (hard to say that name) But seriously, watch any game, it happens all the time. Obviously on a different stage but it still happens.
Fans want a ball some die trying to get it....Craziness
build him a frikin statue in texas
A great documentary. It seems that event will follow the guy to his grave.

Who cares, McRib is back!!!!
It is what the world has become; some poor schmuck reaches for a ball, and because the team can't win that night or the next (game 7) it becomes someone elses fault. And we wonder why this country is headed in the direction it is in.
Bartman wasn't the only one reaching for the ball - as the video plainly shows. Why was he singled out?
It was a great documentary! You forgot to mention Bill Buckner.
