The Superpages.com Center in Fair Park is now being renamed the Gexa Energy Pavilion.
I can't begin to think of all the names that it has had. Coca Cola Starplex comes to mind.
And the last concert I saw there? Holy, cow: New Order.

Last Show I saw there was Guns'N'Roses/Skid Row in August.Hotter than any Texas Jam I attended. I swore I would never go back in the heat.
Can anyone come up with a list of all the past names?
It was called Smirnoff Pavilion at one time; we just called it Vodka-Plex. I think it was called Starplex too.
The only way to see a concert there is to have a seat under the shade with the fans blowing.
How bout " Surrounded by Democrats Pavilion"
It used to be Decatur Middle school. Then Rann, then Carson etc etc.

I saw Aerosmith and Kid Rock there and ZZ Top with Skynard there last year.
Both shows HOT, but fun.
Most recently it was Yellow Pages something or other...I think.
Last show there: Aerosmith!! Before that--Def Lepard, with Poison and Cheap Trick, too. Also, Journey with nuSteve Perry; Tobie Keith and Tres Adkins, and oh, I have lost count. Been going here since it was Starplex..
Always get a seat under the big fans..it's a must.
They sell the name rights, that's why it changes names. I used to work for a company that did just that, Idearc Media (a yellow pages company that changed its name to SuperPages).
