Random Friday Morning Thoughts

And now the new home of the Dallas Mavericks.

  • This should never happen.

  • And, frankly, neither should this:

  • A judge can't ban someone from the state as a condition of probation, but I suppose he can do it as a condition of bond.   And the assistant DA sure got fired up during the hearing: “What he does for a living is engage in this cosplay to get clicks so he can raise money, That’s what he does. He spews his neo-Nazi nonsense in hopes of getting more views.”  Can't argue with that. (Gift link.)

  • I'm surprised the guy got a not guilty verdict after that one. (Gift link.)

  • When you call a screwworm that, it gets your attention.

  • How's that new peace deal coming along in the last 12 hours? Well . . .
    • There will be no signing ceremony today or any negotiations at the start of the "60 day period."

    • Bad news. Big fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon overnight

    • And there it is on early Friday morning: The strait is now closed. (This account below has been reliable throughout the war.)

  • Fox News is mad this morning that Trump wasn't invited to the opening of the Obama Presidential Library.  There is no way he was going to get an invite.

    • Flashback to a post by Trump just last week:

  • "People on this panel probably take ivermectin. I take it probably every couple of weeks, you know, when I'm around a crowd of people and it works pretty well" - Rep. Andy Hopper at the 3:00 minute mark of a video he posted yesterday.

  • The Business Second™.  ICE will be selling warehouses?

  • Legal nerdy stuff:  Yesterday the Fort Worth Court of Appeals reversed a pre-trial ruling suppressing evidence in DWI case that should never have been suppressed by the judge.  Interesting note: It was the same judge that presided over the Tanner Horner case who was reversed.
  • Lauren Whitener Clock: 6 years and 350 days.
