"Real Lawyers Of The State Of Texas"

This is a crazy story. Be sure to follow the "Above the Law" link in the article, and be sure to check out the comments in this Texas Lawyer story where the attorney enters the fray. Trust me, after you do a little research, those comments are exactly want he would do.

Edit: This article from the Victoria Advocate is a good summary as well.

Tread lightly Barry. You could be mistaken for a duck whilst out on your kayak.

Thank you.

I didn't know Wordy was a lawyer.

"His subsequent emails and telephone calls to the man who offered him the position, Victoria County District Attorney Stephen B. Tyler, were ignored."

I agree. For the DA to tell him to walk this way and he'd have a job, that must have been a sweet emotion. Being an ADA in Victoria would be amazing. And then to tell him to dream on? Man, that's crazy. I bet the lawyer was crying', and maybe even living' on the edge. I'd hate to be treated like a rag doll just because of an opinion online. It would leave me jaded, for sure. Hope e gets back in the saddle.

If I were the Judge in this case, I would let this idiot have his day in Court. If you think you can waltz into Victoria, Texas with the kind of attitude he appears to have and do your job effectively without alienating the population in general...you're not thinkin' right. Give him his day in Court and let him see that the jury box isn't going to look remotely like the jury box in Collin County, and just let them pour him out.

The guy is even trolling his own article. The guy needs a wife. Too much time on his hands.

No Wordy isn't a lawyer. He is too intelligent.

Sam--never leave anything up to a jury anywhere near the coast (except Harris County), unless you want to take a serious risk that they will award a truck load of money. I bet half the panel has someone in their family that has been aggressively prosecuted by the DA and would love to get back at them.

Besides, we all have better things to do than deal with this chuckle head.

Rage - we seriously like your musical tastes. Good job. Now send us our royalties for using portions of licensed lyrics.

Let's see.
1. possibly part of Neo-Confederate group
2. possibly charged with gun violation
3. possibly charged with domestic violence

Seems like a perfect ADA - for Deep East Texas.
