And In Today's Klan Humor News

Oh, come on! What's up with all this political correctness? It's fun to dress up as a Klan member. It has no secret meaning. People do it all the time.

Edit: And forgot to add that I hate Illinois Nazis.

Like it or not, freedom of speech extends to what a person chooses to wear. Additionally, in America a person is free to pick and choose those with whom he spends time.

I was wondering if it would be better if lawmakers passed a bill requiring white people to spend a few hours with black people after work each week. Maybe that would stop sales of the confederate flag and black people would start to love white people just as God intended.

Now how many times have I told you to wash your hands after the weekly cross burning.....

Skippy, I agree. This PC crap is getting out of hand. A guy can't even dress up as a democrat for Halloween.

11:56 If you make me spend a few hours each week with blacks I would have the largest plantation this side of the Missisip' by July!

How come you have not commented on PETA trying to take away Dez Bryant's son? Something must be done!

Klansmen ain't easy to love and they're harder to hold.
They'd rather give you a swastika than diamonds or gold.
Burnt cross belt buckles and old faded bedsheets,
And each night begins with new cray.
If you don't understand him, an' he don't die young,
He'll prob'ly just kill a gay.

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Klansmen.
Don't let 'em wear hoodies or drive them old trucks.
Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such.
Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Klansmen.
'Cos they'll never stay home and they're always in Rhome
Doing Evil with some man they secretly love.

Klansmen like smokey old crosses and clear mountain hangings,
Little dead puppies, abused children and girls with no fight,
Them that don't know him won't like him and them that do won't either,
Sometimes you won't know how to take him.
He's all wrong, and he's just different but his pride won't let him,
Do things that most folks think deem right.

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Klansmen.

(I hereby dedicate this here ditty to our resident blog Klansmen, none other than the west Texas tea party tornado himself, wordkyle!)

2:40, If you would care to read about history, the Klan was brought to you by southern segregationist democrats. You can thank Al Gore Sr., William Fullbright(Bill Clinton's mentor), Robert Byrd, George Wallace and Jim Crowe.

@2:40

Your final statement just proves that you care nothing for content. You only care what the crowd thinks and you go along so you won't be left out of the group.

Liberal lemmings you are.

3:30 What history book are you reading that teaches you #1 that Jim Crowe (sic) was a person and #2 that four Democrats who weren't even born until some 30-50 plus years after the Klan was formed were central to bringing it about? Let me know because I got to read that page Turner..... Diary!!

Also, anyone with a brain knows the party affiliations in the south began to turn during the Civil rights movement and many former "southern segregationist democrats" bred the modern Christian Right movement that has dominated conservative politics! Good God you folks are stupid!

I can has history!!!

Pretty sure the Klan was brought to you by Nathan Bedford Forrest.

There was no way to foresee the backlash to dressing up like a Klansman. How was he supposed to know it could be deemed offenseive?

Bear and the other wordkyle apologists. Nice try but I'm a TRUE conservative through and through. I think it is important to out the trolls and racists in our party so we can move forward, win some elections and get things done. We need to close ranks and trim the fat. The racist nature of the tea party isn't some liberal media construct; I move in these circles, here the conversations and see the true motives. The far right is as bad for our country as the far left.

Wow, I can't say I've ever gotten a sentiment like that from a self-declared conservative. It is refreshing. I suspect you are right, and that the country would be better off if both parties adopted a similar philosophy. Good to see.

@7:20

I agree that the far right is as bad as the far left, but the Tea Party is not far right. At least I do not see the racism that liberals claim.

Just because you state a fact such as "more blacks are killed by other blacks" does not make you a racist. How can facts be political?

Anonymous said...

Bear, it isn't the "blacks kill more blacks" nonsense that the liberal media uses to brand the tea party as racist that worries me. It is the fact that the tea party continually takes the bait, showing their hand. I agree that it is a fact but why does it even need to be brought up. Why are a bunch of white folk that are insulated from black on black violence so preoccupied with it?

You know, the racism I see on a regular basis from tea party types has nothing to do with your strawman above. It is the jokes at the golf course, the comments here and there at the office and the notion that whites are superior that is openly on display. I get some of this is a response to Obama and his stoking the fire instead of bridging the divide, but it is still over the top. That is just an honest assessment of what I see! And I don't think all in the tea party are this way.

You must hang in some low life crowds. The conservatives I hang with do not make off color jokes or insult people based on race, religion, sexual orientation, etc...

They will ridicule you if you do something stupid. Stupid is not limited to any race or orientation.

You should hang with a better crowd.

And all libs paint all conservatives with the same brush. (Just I did).

Ditto!

The Tea Party is not racist as the captive lamestream media would have us believe. The true racists are those in the Democratic Party using racism as an excuse to further divide the country.
