That's a hot opinion right there.

Say what? Karen is an elementary school teacher near Lubbock? She has apologized.

It's a good thing she didn't write: "[The officer] did nothing wrong. He was afraid for his life. I commend him for his actions."  That got a Miami principal removed, and he will be reassigned.

(Hey, I've always said that the government should be prevented from taking any action in response to speech except in the most extreme situations. Honestly, I don't know how either one of these individuals can legally be reprimanded.)

The partygoers, the police department, and the police officer who resigned--all agree that the officer crossed the line and apologized. That is every single eyewitness. Or at least every eyewitness in the YouTube video.

Seeing as how every single eyewitness agrees the officer was in the wrong, why is that so hard for noneyewitnesses to swallow?

That teacher is SOOOOOO screwed.
She will also be forced to resign.

Free speech is only allowed to be spoken freely by those who's opinions, belief's and moral turpitude reflect the current state of things.

As our society crumbles at the onslaught of these protagonists, the war on ANY kind of authority becomes clear and increasing fragile.

Laws should be (and probably will) rescinded so popular demand can be implemented. You will be found guilty in town hall meetings where clergy and politicians try and convict in an open forum.

Let's build some gallows, we are going to need them. This teacher and her rant would make for a strong showing and a great lesson to kids today about "non- politically correct speech" and the consequences of disagreeing with the MOB- in this case (Most Overtly Black)

What did she say that was wrong?

I think this could open up a real opportunity for that office in the Cirque du Soleil. I'm sure they pay better than the police department anyway and, I mean, did you see his moves?

Because the party goers are covering thier ass, the police department is covering it's ass, and the officer is trying to save his reputation because everyone else is trying to cover their ass.

Since the Lubbock teacher had a close connection to the incident, I can understand her wanting to go back to the days of segregation after all the accusations of racism, neighborhood protests. Being racist is criminal in our pop culture and anyone guilty per the media should be publicly shamed. So the Mckinney neighborhood deserved all the media could reign down on them.
Sorry, the black activist (many call themselves religious leaders) don't care about the young blacks. All they want to do is rush in front of a TV camera with accusations of racism and made up lies of how blacks are victims. The teacher and the high school principal have a right to their opinion on Facebook. Freedom of speech is a right. Of course the left would disagree but never express outrage when black activist threaten violence to anyone who stands up to their bully tactics. Freedom and privilege comes with being responsible. Racial tension is being created for an evil purpose by a small minority by using bully tactics.

In situations such as these the immediate reaction is to always fire the person who made the remark.

But a more constructive act would be to ask the person why he/she feels this way and maybe try to fix the issue. I try hard not to be racist, but if you say black people in this country don't have an image problem then you have your head up your butt.

Rather than try to contain and suppress white people's frustration with blacks wouldn't it make more sense, and be more therapeutic, for them to air their grievances publicly?

I'm sorry, but political correctness has deprived a lot of black people of the tough love they need for about 30 to 40 years now.

And if you think I'm racist then tell me whether you went to a public school with a lot of blacks (as I did) and saw these problems up close or if you grew up in a lilly-white area and are just being a good, obedient knee-jerk liberal.

When members of the black panthers March down your street and your neighbors are being threatened, segregation but equal might be better.

I've always said that the government should be prevented from taking any action in response to speech except in the most extreme situations.

So now we just need some judge to tell us what their definition of EXTREME is.

And in other news Baylor standout Rico Gathers has been charged with shoplifting about $170 worth of household items from a Wal-Mart in Waco. Gotta be proud of the Baylor grads...drugs, theft, or both...

...Speaks Volumes Doesn't It?

People, once again let's chat about what Free Speech really means. You can say whatever you want without Big Brother censoring or impeding (except shouting FIRE in a crowded theater). Will there be consequences for your exercise of your constitutional right? Possibly. Your friends may Un-Friend you on FaceBook, you may lose your job, you may become a social pariah. That's the way Free Speech works. Say what you want & it's protected (the actual speech). What comes after is NOT protected.

256 said, "segregation but equal." Stick to smaller words that you actually understand next time.

Regardless of your opinion, everyone is entitled to one. How about holding the teens accountable, as well.

4:24 the doctrine of separate but equal was overturned in 1954 but segregation didn't end for years. Just to let you know the words are understood by high school students who had history and civic classes back in the 1950's!

Unfortunately, our president and his paid hooligans have done away with free speech. It is now a thing of the past.
He will continue to separate this country every chance he gets.. Just my opinion. So very tired of trying to be politically correct bs.

I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the many great contributions of the Black community and their culture to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real Estate values are fueled by the influx of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nurturing of these communities, an example of all they have achieved by their enthusiasm for self-improvement through hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.

The upset Lubbock teacher who has been fired probably had no idea how black activist are organized in social media and can hundreds of twitters to the school where she worked. The Florida principal was taken down by an activist via his twitter account. Once it is out there it is there permanently. Freedom of speech only applies if it agrees with the progressive agenda. If you publicly disagree your job is at risk and your life will be threatened.

In both the last aparmtents I lived in 100% of the time if the pool was full of people who did not belong there nearly all of them would be niglets.

@7:14: I don't think it's limited to any one political stripe, but the social media thing can be crazy.

Last week there was some former Nickelodeon star who made an un-PC comment about Ms. Jenner on twitter, and the THOUSANDS of reply tweets included a lot of demands that he kill himself and calls for some twisted things to happen to him. I mean, thousands and thousands of just terrible things.

I was looking on facebook at the reactions to Franklin Granham's call for a boycott of Wells Fargo because they put lesbians in an ad, and it was the same thing. Makes me sort of embarrassed to be the same species as these awful people.

6:59, that was HILARIOUS!

Katy,

Again with the Bruce Jenner crap and then the lesbian stuff.Who cares? You care and with your loose cannon, demo libtard grope mentality.
You wear a mustache and talk like a man..So?
You believe I MUST except that because You say so?
Nope. Bruce Jenner can change whatever he wants, but he is still Bruce.
You can grow facial hair and have you parts removed but you're still a girl (assumption here).
I don't NEED to agree with it, you don't NEED to understand why.
But, I'm tired of it being rammed down my throat and people saying I must accept it.

It's great to be a racist. I can hate Muslims, Wetbacks, Niggers and Jews. Altho you have to be careful about Jews because Israel. Can't hate Israeli Jews cause they will come lookin for ya or foreclose your mortgage. But man, we got some humm dinger jokes we tell at the weekly get togethers.
