. . . show the U. of Georgia athletic director do a Public Service Announcement not to drink and drive?
Because he got arrested last night for DWI. Ouch.
Edit: And in other DWI news, a former Texas Longhorn quarterback was arrested this morning for "driving while stoned." ("He must have tried to pass the blunt but got intercepted" - Stolen Joke.)
I'm not saying there aren't some in those groups that are good role models, but why would you "teach" your children to look up to athletes and coaches? Maybe that's the problem. Some parents point out people their kids should emulate, but the kids should form their own opinions of whom they feel are praiseworthy
2:20..Overreact much? I think you are letting bad apple syndrome affect your judgement.
Why don't you teach your children to respect their peers, elders, and authority figures but also teach them people are fundamentally flawed and make mistakes. Teach them it is better to simply respect than to idolize with the understanding somewhere along the way someone they "look up to" is going to let them down. When that happens teach them forgiveness and humility for they too one day could make a mistake that will damage their reputation and hurt others.
Or you could simply continue to teach them cynicism and forever cripple their future!
2:52 - teaching is done first by the parents. A wise parent will laud the accomplishments of athletes and coaches who live respectably in their professions.
Tom Landry and Nolan Ryan are two of the best examples of good role models in the sports fields.
If I'm going to listen to anyone about drinking and driving, it's going to be someone who hasn't and knows why. Not someone who's guilty. Why do we think it's always better to learn what not to do from someone who did rather than someone who knows how not to.
I'd prefer to take my advice about drinking and driving from someone who's got it right. Listening to this guy is like listening to someone who's never had or raised kids talk about what it's like to raise kids. Please, give me someone who doesn't drink and drive at all to lecture me about this.

So much for that.

I appreciate their examples to our kids.
Ricky, Cedric, Chris . . .
Maybe they should change the color to Baked Orange?
Mack Brown was an idiot for putting Chrisy boy in and benching
Applewhite. Cost them a shot at the National Championship.

4:37 Someone who doesn't drink and drive at all...
Jury selection at it's best.
Doesn't Nolan have a pitching record of some sort;like hitting more batters than anyone else.
Is Josh Hamilton being played by Will Ferrill?
Was he attending one of those White House Summits before he was arrested?
