What The Heck Is Going On With The Tarrant County DA's Office?

This is from the official "trial board" webpage of the DA's office.

Look at this. Five "not guilty" verdicts. I didn't think that was possible in one week. And one guy beat two assistant DAs while representing himself. Do they have any idea what they are doing? Does any one train them? Can no one spot a crappy case beforehand?

Trial before judge or before jury?

Who was the judge? Same in all cases?

Mass exodus of prosecutors replaced with inexperienced, newer attorneys.

So....they're guilty? What's your point?

A fish rots from the head.

Apparently the DA can't try a case either. She lost quite a few high profile cases when she was an ADA with the office - before Mr. Curry fired her.

Maybe you should post the ENTIRE page. The verdicts you show paint an ugly picture.

Money talks in Tarrant County.

So justice was not served?

If these lawyers are not getting the job done....FIRE THEM. Get some new blood on there.

I'd say their are DUI opportunities in Wise County. That area is underserved.

Getting beat by Mark Daniel is a badge of honor. Getting beat by Tamario Hunley is embarrassing.

Maybe they were innocent by a jury of the peers.
If they were young and dumb defendants, maybe that's fitting.

9:54, don't get your panties in a wad about liberal judges now, they were all in different courts. Ever think maybe they shouldn't be charging some of these cases, instead of that everyone who gets charged must be guilty?

Isn’t it a little disingenuous to show just the misdemeanor portion? Misdemeanor’s conviction rates have never been stellar - even in the vaunted Curry years.

Disingenuous? I'd really like to hear of a time where Mr. Curry's misdemeanor prosecutors lost 5 cases in one week....

Besides, isn't that genius Lloyd in charge now?

I wonder of the phrase "Two Utes" was recorded in any of the cases listed.

Does the DA prosecute misdemeanors in Tarrant County? In Wise, it's the County Attorney's office.

Wow, what an embarrassment. Wilson's opponent should use that screen shot in his campaign.

These trials take citizens away from their jobs and require them to sit on juries, only to see the government lawyers do shitty jobs and lose case after case. What a total shit show.

The felony section sucks now too. There are some really, really piss poor lawyers in that section. The ranks are so thin that they've promoted many of them up to almost court chief level. When I hit dockets in felony courts, many of the prosecutors still talk about how terrible it is to work for her. It's just a sad situation.

"Besides, isn't that genius Lloyd in charge now?"

Yes. He is. He and Melinda. They have utterly failed in training and instructing this batch of truly horrid lawyers.

Anyone stop and think maybe these were all bad arrests and crap cases to begin with? Ft Worth police are notoriously inept, it is well known.

You can't do shit in that office without her majesty's approval.

She only has ONE person on her command staff that started with her now, all the others have left and the one weasel that was running civil at the start of this circle jerk got escorted out.

And one who was highly regarded that left just came back to work for the county in another capacity to work for GK whom her majesty dislikes a LOT..

That's a big finger in her face...

Looks like they had a GOOD defense ATTORNEY !!

Sharen is the Donald Trump of Tarrant County. Shallow, not very bright, egotistical, selfish, retaliatory, mean spirited, etc. However, like Donald Trump, our voters don’t seem to care. As long as you kiss the tea party’s ass and kiss the asses of every octogenarian in NE Tarrant County, you will keep getting elected around here. We can only pray that she loses in November, but we all know that is just a fantasy. Get ready to enjoy at least another four years of absolute chaos in the DA’s office.

Why not mobilize those 16-year olds in the news.

Get the vote out.

At least one of the names on the list is a guy with access to $.

As for Mark Daniel, some of his clients have received sentences of life, in both Sharen Wilson's court as well as via her staff. He's nothing special.

Looks like Misdemeanor has rebounded with guilties across the board this week.
