Tarrant County Case Overturned

And the reason is something you don't see every day:

Opinion.
Information on case.
State's Brief (Interesting in that of the 75 pages long brief only pages 23-25 concerned this issue. Unrelated, but odd, is the reference to www.dummies.com on page 71 as authority to support an assertion.)

Please tell me the judge is now on the hook for the cost of a new trial.

If this is the case I'm thinking of (didn't read anything beyond it's a reversal in Gallagher's court), then I'm not surprised. Just terrible. And Gallagher ought to know better.

I don't know if he's up for election this term, but the voters ought to know about this before casting a ballot. Too bad the S-T is virtually non-existent.

Given the nature of the charges against Morris I would have been more in favor of the "hit him" on general principles had the device been wrapped around his balls. However, in the circumstances laid out in the appellate court's decision it appears the judge was just being a dick.

The reference to Dummies.com appears to be there just to point out how commonplace the assertion it -- that one can text photos in addition to words.

Nobody was actually electrocuted here. You know that, right?
