Madison Avenue Thought This Would Be A Good Idea

They thought this would be a good idea? Slide a beer past African-Americans to a white gal with the slogan "Lighter is Better"?

(But I wonder if they knew what they were doing to get people talking about Heineken.)

Edit: It made national news everywhere. They even pulled the ad.

Only a racist would instantly think that that commercial means what you think it means.

Is a Heineken lighter in calories than white wine?

Get your mind out of the gutter and you could see things as they actually are.

Not real sure she is a "White gal".

Look for something else to complain about.

What a reach.... those are simply just people.

Ridiculous. Only a prejudiced bigot would pick up on your theory.

My guess is that the ad company was making sure to have a multicultural cast and then didn't think through the execution of the commercial. When you aren't racist at heart or don't live triggered these things can happen to you!

Leftist are obsessed with race and other people’s money.

I'm as liberal as the come and I would never have made that connection.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know.

Facebook...now all the subscribers are surprised. Need some cheese with whine, whine, whine.

What would Chance the Rapper say if all the customers, employees, etc. in the ad were "lighter". Would he say that black people drink Heineken too and were not represented? If you look at just about every commercial, tv show or movie, you can always find something that disagrees with you.

I will say if nothing else you over thought that situation and came to the wrong conclusion.
Regardless- for the life of me; I cannot come to the same conclusion (and I tried) that you did.

You would really REALLY have to use your imagination to determine that the woman was white.

The ad said that sometimes lighter is better.

Richard Pryor used to say that he would rather be with Raquel Welch than Shirley Chisholm. Racist!

Open your eyes. Don’t choose to stay ignorant.

Only an ignorant bigot would miss it

This must be an,'I to need to believe kind of thing'.
I've watched it 5 or 6 times and I just don't see it.

@11:40

Only an ignorant liberal would see it.

See how easy that is.
