30 Years Ago Today

And this photo is haunting. I drove by it  in the late 1980s on my way to work every day. I knew that dent was caused by the crash, and I felt like I was the only one who did.

And if you ever want to ponder the Butterfly Effect, think about William Mayberry, 28, who died after his car was hit by the plane on 114.

I think about it every time I drive through there.

Something is seriously wrong with this blog site. Super slow, when no other sites on my computer or connection are.

I received a piece of mail off that flight. Eerie. Burned, wet and smelling of jet fuel but delivered in a sealed envelope from the USPS.

I was right down the road huddled in a pay phone calling my dispatcher. That micro burst was so intense I didn't hear the plane crash.

The ACLU took down the cross that was once there. It offended too many people and they were too distraught to do normal every day functions.

Never knew this, did they fix the dent?
