As this post appears, I will be in a mass of bodies in downtown Dallas for the annual Turkey Trot. I'm there because it has become a passionate ritual for me. I will stop when I can no longer do it -- a thought which scares me a little bit.
And that brings us to Thanksgiving and my annual call back to
this post, a favorite of the Liberally Lean readers, that I put up six years ago. . You know, I love going back to it. It is still true. And it t needs to be read slowly -- the way it was written.
Thanks to all of you for this crazy little club we have.

And thank you for all the club meetings you get started for us. I read all of what you write everyday, but not always the comments. Btw, I thought your closing that you posted was exceptional. If I'd been on the jury your client would not have been convicted.
Enjoy your run and your day.
Have a great day with your family.
been waiting on the post! Doesn't mean I have a sad life---Just means it makes me reflect on my own life and my own memories!

That was a very sincere post 6 yes ago. But I bet you got more comments during the Bridgeport Cheerleading scandal.
That was charming; you are lucky. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Were Drugs or Alcohol involved?
I will never tire of this pic or this post. Please keep this going every year. Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I'm glad I'm part of this club!
Barry, I hope that your day was filled again with the appreciation for what you have in your life; it sounds like it's worthy of deep gratitude.
Mine was, and interestingly enough, the best parts of it were spent alone.

On Dec 21st 2012, we'll all be a bunch of fried turkeys...
Did you dress up like a Turkey, too, at the Trot??
