Stumbled upon a blog of a guy who is running across America to bring attention to the unemployment problem. (Not sure I get it either.) Anyway, he came through here earlier this month and wrote about it.
- Met a nice Decatur man at Sweetie Pies.
- Going through Runaway Bay he liked Lake Bridgeport but found a deputy who he thought was "kind of a jerk."
- He found that big hill between Runaway Bay and Jacksboro.
- Hard to tell exactly where he is, but it may be in a county west of Jacksboro when he was almost run down by a deputy.

Double Fake the Donald
Read this stat today: 85% of all new college grads end up living with parents.
Oh I see he met Super Cop Tom Bishop.
Run forrest run.
For an out of work person that's running across American, he sure drives and flies and spends a lot of money and a lot of time visiting stuff and taking pictures. But, looks like fun. Sad that it would cross my mind how easy it would be, with technology, flickr, wikipedia, google earth, etc....to completely fake something like this.
Well, get him to run his ass back to Decatur and go to work for me. I can't find anybody that actually wants to work.
Dude, "He found that big hill between Runaway Bay and Jacksboro.".....I love that stretch of road.
Good thing he steered clear of Chico...those whistlebritches in that backwards ass craphole town woulda prob run him down and violated him!
Beats fishing gumbo in the gulf.
sweetie pies is over-rated...
Read the article, says WC Deputy, not Tom. Your such a chicken boner.
Not good PR for Sheriff Walker, needs to repromand his deputy. Surely he can figure out who was on duty in that area!!!

I do not blame the deputy for not wanting to be this man's trash can. I would have too much pride to be treated like a trash can if I had spent 2-1/2 entire weeks of my life slaving at the police academy to become a law enforcement professional!
8:01 now that's FUNNEEE
It takes 2 1/2 weeks to become a cop?! Geez, I thought all you needed was a strong desire to be a pr!ck...
Saw Tom Bishop radaring in the Decatur city limits yesterday. Wish he would spend a little time in the far northwest part of county. It needs some help.
Far NorthEast part needs help too....Never see deputies out there, drugs kind of getting out of hand.
When does Tom ever find time to serve papers? is that not his job? I thought the city cops and the highway popo ran radar they sure as hell don't serve papers for him.
12:07 Tom is to busy trying to be a city cop and the highway popo to serve papers.

He was trying to obey the law and not litter. He had a water bottle, not a bag of trash. The officer could have been nice ebough to throw away one bottle. If he would've littered and the officer saw him, wouldn't the officer have to pick up the bottle after writing the ticket? If not, wouldn't the officer be guilty of littering as well?? Just asking.
Something else Tom would do is a civil standby, another fail on the Sheriffs dept. they don't do civil standbys when you need one.
1:46, You might want to re-read my comment, obviously you didn't get it the first time.
If he made it thru Runaway Bay without being pulled over or run over by the Runaway Bay police officers (they have a souped up car and love to let everyone know it) he is lucky. Most people traveling thru Runaway Bay aren't so fortunate.
1:46. He would pe told to pick it up after getting his ticket. His bottle, his trash, his responsibility.
Cops are not paid to pick up your trash. I
I hope he didn't try to wash his hands at Sweetie Pies.
Correctomundo, 1:46. Cops don't pick trash up, they just treat you like trash....

You're right. I missed it. I'll read closer next time.

They may not be paid to pick up trash, but they aren't above picking up trash, either. Most officers aren't "too good" to throw someone's trash away, just that one. BTW, I never said they were paid to pick up trash, just think in this case, it would have been considerate.
