What About My Mint Mocha Chip Frappuccino® With Chocolate Whipped Cream?

Any word on the Decatur Starbucks? The chain said it would close some of its underperforming stores but I have no idea how the local store stacks up. I just never have gotten into the high tone coffee - the menu looks to intimidating and I fear the hidden fat grams. (Nutrition info here.)

But I see lots of people drinking that stuff.

I was going to use Starbucks as a crutch while I quit the smack. Oh well. As the inimitable Marilyn Manson so famously once said,"I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me." I only wish I was kidding.

Easy caffeine freaks...easy. That's only an average of 12 stores per state in the good ol' USA.

Numbers are so magical.

I like Starbucks, during the summer I like the iced skinny mocha latte. Winter...regular coffee, pumpkin spice and chai lattes...I've downsized to tall, though...grande is a bit of an overkill and venti shouldn't even be allowed:) Plus, pre-baby, it was a nice place to study/read. Now, when she's napping I just curl up in a big chair and open a can of Folgers...almost the same effect.

i'm proud to say i've never had one single cup of starbucks coffee instead i bought a brand new 47" sony flatscreen with all the bells and whistles with the $4 per day, 5 days a week. and that is less than 3 years of only 1 cup per day, imagine if you buy 3 or 4 you could buy a new lexus!!

I stopped going a couple months ago. Got tired of waiting, then getting to the counter and asking for a cup of coffee, only to be told they would have to brew it and it would be five minutes. Meantime, I could have ordered some bizzare frappacrappa, or bought chocolates, or stuffed animals, or a mug, or doughnuts, muffins and any number of things besides coffee and been out of there in a minute. But coffee? Nah, that takes five minutes, because much of the time they are "out". Not a great plan for a coffee place.

From the store manager of Starbucks in Decatur:
We are NOT closing now or anytime in the future. Starbucks is closing 600 stores throughout the US by the first of 2009 and we are nowhere on the list.
I'm not sure where the city hall informant got their information, but as we have told all our loyal customers, "We ain't goin' anywhere!"
