Just When I Think I've Identified The Dumbest Prosecutors Ever . . .

You kidding me? McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna has no idea what he is doing and is about to get his arse handed to him. I wish there was an over/under line in Vegas for the number of convictions he will obtain. I'll set it at 4. And even I will take the under.

Get your popcorn ready. And to my defense attorney friends in Waco, you just have been handed a gift of being able to beat a prosecutor senseless in court.   (But let's not worry about "big government" so long as you are "tough on crime." The arrogance is overwhelming.)

What a moron.

I admittedly know very little about the legal system, so it's quite possible this is a stupid question. But, is the prosecutor just trying to disrupt the lives of those charged as much as possible as a "consequence" of being involved?

In other words, is it possible that he knows he won't win any convictions, but he's moving forward anyway to "punish" those involved? Perhaps he's thinking something along the lines of, "I can't put you in jail, but I'm going to harass you as much as I can." Could that be what's going on here?

Counselor, you underestimate the kangaroo court system.

Somehow, miraculously it seems, I avoided being thrown into Waco jail by not showing up at a restaurant heavily armed and being part of a gang shootout. Too bad others can't do the same.

4:52 You say that but I was at that very restaurant a few days before this taking a customer to lunch. I had my conceal carry gun in my truck and had been to the Cabela's across the parking lot killing time before we met. I had purchased a significant amount of ammo while at Cabela's. Had this happened while I was there, and despite my business attire, I'm willing to bet I would have went to jail and been out thousands of dollars without ever having committed a crime. Think about that.

4:52,

Are you thinking about it? Ya think 106 bikers were in a shootout and the only ones killed were shot by the police? Do ya think at all?

If I was rich I would hire a team of defense lawyers so tough it would make the whole county scared . Then comes the civil suits . Waco would be a ghost town .

7:59, What makes you think you would have gone to jail if you weren't in gang attire and your gun and ammo were in your truck?

You think 7:59 really did that? Hook, line and sinker.

10:57 They searched and impounded many of the vehicles in the parking lot, this is where a number of the weapons seized were from.

You belong in jail for your grammar.

"I would have went to jail"

Really?
