"It's called 'Operation Safe Driver' but you might call it a 'Black Ops Mission'." Good grief.

Watch their intensity over traffic violations. One says, "It's what people do when they think they are not being watched."

Someone define the term "Police State" for me. Oh, ok . .  . thanks:

Well if any of my loved ones were killed by a driver texting or committing these "minor" violations , of course I'd be pissed and call for better enforcement. I don't do any of the things highlighted here and have had very few minor traffic violations in 45+ years of driving so really wouldn't affect me. Having said all that ,not sure I'm comfortable with this. If they can do this what's next? Drones that fly over your house looking for "drug activity" Or non-violent slope visits of your home to inspect and interview your children to stop " child abuse" ? Slippery slope someone give the Ben Franklin quote I can't remember it exactly.

Police have a problem with you watching them. But anything they do to spy on you is just fine and dandy.

This is no different than an unmarked police car or a cop hiding in a speed trap.
Calm down Barry.

Reminds me of tattle tails on the playground.

I know they have a rest room on that bus but are donuts and coffee available?

Is Rhome at it again?

So nice you blame the democrats for this as they have been firmly in control of texas politics at the state level for at least the last 15 years or so..... OH WAIT THAT WOULD BE THE REPUBLICANS!

Texting and driving is no joke. Glad these guys are enforcing the traffic laws. What if this bus saves one life? Worth it?

"cop hiding in a speed trap."

You must be talking about 380 in Decatur.

If I were a traveler just passing thru, figuring out what the speed limit was at various locations from the east side to the west side of Decatur would be a huge challenge.

What a cluster that strip of highway is.

Quit texting and driving says the cop who has a laptop built into his console!

If you're going straight through Decatur on US380 and you don't know the speed limit at any point, you aren't paying attention. It's clearly marked on the eastern edge of town as 60mph, reduced from 70. It's marked at 55 just short of the 287 interchange, and then it's 70 past the light on the western edge of town. You've got 60 or 55 thru town and then back to 70 at either end. And yeah, it's not unusual to see a cop sitting there right after you top the hill from the east. But they're hiding in plain sight, and it's only a trap if you're going too fast

The list of conservative politicians, Republican or Democrat, is declining rapidly.

There are even different types of conservatives, two of the most prevalent being Social conservatives and Fiscal conservatives.

As a politician, when your income is generated and paid by the government, even though it's funded by the people, it's easy to justify your position by helping generate more revenue. After a while, extracting revenue from US citizens is less important than generating it, regardless of the constitution or civil rights.

How they love to brag on how much revenue they generate, when in truth, it's the people paying the bills.

Hell yeah! It's our God-given right to drive however we want WITHOUT interference or regulation from the government.

How come the cops aren't wearing seatbelts?

"Hello? Pot?, this is Kettle calling..."

Anonymous said...

uhh, shouldn't the police officers be belted in??

Anonymous said...

FYI- I MAY NOT LIKE COPS, BUT I SURE DON'T LIKE AMBULANCE CHASING LAWYERS

Anonymous said...

"Too many cops" is right.

They're giving out seatbelt tickets... while not wearing seat belts.

Gotta fund their ever expanding department somehow, huh.

Next time you need the Police, call a crackhead!! Nuff said.

While I am for enforcement, I find it remarkable they are breaking the law by standing up and walking around on a moving bus? One quick stop and they are all through the windshield out onto the highway. Do as I say not as I do??hmmmmmm

Good for them! They are in the "business" of protecting and serving! If any of the whiners and complainers had to witness the mangled bodies of a wreck, especially that of babies and toddlers, they would never open their mouths about this again! Those in blue are not getting their "jollies", they are trying to prevent "suicide by driving" because essentially, that is what these idiots on the road are doing! And they are taking out innocent citizens in the process by their ignorance! The American Public is so anti-police anymore, because what? They get a ticket that might save their life!!! Ungrateful Bastards... And those Men and Women Hero's in Blue will keep doing their job until they get enough of saving ungrateful idiots and retire feeling beaten, battered and unappreciated for trying to save lives!

Anonymous said...

Ha ha -- the American public is anti-police because police have been caught too many times abusing their authority.

How about next time you feel the need to be abused, call the police, not a crackhead.

BG, I hate that people label you as an " ambulance chasing" layer. Isn't that what they call personal injury lawyers? FYI I've never had to use your services but friends of mine have and I think your a damn good lawyer.
