Random Friday Morning Thoughts

Still true. And that would not be good for me over the next decade.

  • Perryton got crushed last night by a tornado.  That town seems to have a weird connection to Wise County becomes it seems like a local school is always playing them or playing there during the high school football playoff season.

  • This image from a bank in Lavon in Collin County throws you off at first when you think a whole building collapse but it was just the drive-thru. Still bad, but not as bad.

  • Fox 4 had better shot of the house where the dead woman and child were found.

    • And we got the first image of one of the deceased.

  • I love Norm and have been listening to him since his morning KLIF show. I couldn't believe back then there was a whole radio show at 7:00 a.m. dedicated to sports.  And, no, he really didn't have time for bits back then.

  • Travel crime news:
    • Fear the hotel which is adjacent to big pool pump house.

    • Fear the guy you meet on a hiking trail near a German castle who wants to hang out. Story

  • It's getting a little crowded.

  • Random sports notes:
    • Here's a quick loading video of Ranger Marcus Semien, the pitching coach, and the manager all being thrown out out of the game last night within seconds.

    • Fun fact from yesterday.

    • Fun U.S. Open fact.

  • Legal bickering news. It's funnier if you read the story with the Texas Hammer screaming, "I want my money!" after every paragraph.

  • Legal nerdy stuff that is outside of my bailiwick but involves in Wise County: The Fort Worth Court of Appeals affirmed a property ruling in a divorce case yesterday handed down by retired judge Stephen Wren.
  • Time which has passed since the Wise County Sheriff's Office, despite having a full male DNA profile, has failed to solve the murder of Lauren Whitener in her home at Lake Bridgeport: 3 years, 346 days.
