The Campaign For DA

11.22.2016

Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

  • What a horrible bus accident in Tennessee. But the bus driver has been arrested? For what? And does anyone want to wait for an investigation to figure out what happened? There has been a mindset develop over the last twenty years that every traffic accident involving a death must be a crime.
  • I think I heard this morning that every school bus in Dallas ISD is equipped with seat belts. Is that right?
  • College Football: (1) Amongst all the Charlie Strong talk and the loss to Kansas, everyone is overlooking that UT's star running back carried the ball fifty-one times on Saturday. Talk about what should be a crime. (2) Things that don't make sense: SMU beating Houston, Baylor beating Oklahoma State, and Iowa State destroying Tech. (3) TCU still needs to win one more game to be bowl eligible. (4) Told ya there was a chance OU could get into the Final Four.
  • This has to be fake news, right? "In a statement released later Monday, the Trump transition team said the president-elect and [Rick] Perry 'had an in-depth discussion on homeland security, border control, and illegal immigration."
  • I did not know that Rick Perry posted on Instagram after the election: "Just got a call to #makeamericagreatagain Saddle up & ride, bro!! #godblessamerica". Good grief. And he threw in a confusing photo.
  • And the soon to be leader of the free world was at it again this morning. This is right out of Idiocracy:
  • The press is "not nice." I'm dumbfounded.  I wonder if that was ever considered as an alternative title to All The President's Men.
  • The Eighth Grader in the House is painting her room today. What could go wrong?
  • Those are screenshots of the opening of the old Wide World Of Sports. I never new a guy by the ramp ducked.
  • An Azle teen is making news by coming up with the "Trump Challenge" game: You run when someone says "Trump is coming!"  (I wonder if she has seen The Wire?)
  •  Wait. What?
  • This morning: "Trump administration will not pursue further investigations of Hillary Clinton, according to aide Kellyanne Conway." So much for that "lock her up" promise. (And since when is the President making the decisions of the Attorney General?)
  • You've got to see the "video showing an alt-right crowd celebrating Trump’s win with Nazi salutes." The leader of the group was heard referring 'to the mainstream media as 'Lügenpresse,' a term he said he was borrowing from 'the original German'”; the Nazis used the word to attack their critics in the press." Not nice.
  • The holidays can't get here soon enough.

I believe the tweet from Perry with the picture is him with Marcus Luttrell--the soldier Lone Survivor was based on. I've never been a Perry fan but he helped that guy immensely. I believe he even lived in the Governor's mansion for a while when he was homeless and having trouble getting care at the VA.

The Alt Right meeting didn't get a tweet from Trump; he saved that for SNL, Hamilton and the media! Something is really wrong! I know now how Germany went wrong! We can't go that direction.

Only Dictators need to control the press to hide their true agenda. Nazis will be Nazis.
Just another fine day in Grandpa's New Great America - go back to your room and watch another Western, Gramps, nothing to worry about here.
The threat of Evil Hillary is still gone, now take your pills and another nap and let the good Nazis do their job.

PRESIDENT Trump isn't prosecuting her any further because he just wants her to go away. That's what we all wanted, it's what we voted for. And won. Stick that into yer juice box and suck on it!!!

Conway: “Look, I think he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the President of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,”

Trump regarding Clintons: “I don’t want to hurt them, I don’t want to hurt them. They’re, they’re good people."

Classic Hyperbole Bait and Switch.

Feeling good about Trump here, he seems to be a man in charge of changing things - like changing his campaign promises!!!

How the hell does one guy tweeting equate to the Nazi Propaganda machine in you folks twisted minds? It's pretty clear every tiny decision Trump makes will be gone over with a fine tooth comb, while the media has given Obama the benefit of the doubt most days and done his bidding on the other's! We are exiting the most secretive administration ever and not a single f*#k was given by the media or the alt-left.

Triple Fake... said...

I'm confused. Is the Eighth Grader in the House planning to paint her room while she's attempting to jump a ski ramp? Why didn't you just post a pic of the Hindenberg going down (or is it up?) in flames?

Dallas school buses:
If there are seat belts for every rider, is there some indicator on the driver's dashboard display that tells when a belt isn't fastened, similar to one in your average vehicle? Otherwise, it's not possible to know if all (or any) of the kiddies are buckled up, or remain that way.

Even in Tennessee, accident investigators can look at evidence and have a good idea of whether speed was a factor; like skid marks, damage at point of impact, eyewitness accounts, etc. That in itself makes it a crime. Add fatalities and that makes it an even worse crime.

I'm gonna start a Stop It Already With the Stupid Challenges Challenge, because we're scraping the bottom of the barrel now

"There has been a mindset develop over the last twenty years that every traffic accident involving a death must be a crime."

This sounds a lot like every time there is a black person that is shot by a white police officer, it must be racism. A hate crime. The cop is in the wrong. Obviously the black person was not committing a crime worthy of deadly force.

Hypocrite! But then you are a self serving lawyer and your comment comes directly from your work.

Even if Hillary was indicted, on ALL of the laws she's broken, Hillary would NEVER spend even a single day in prison. The investigation would take years, her attorneys would delay, delay, delay and delay some more. The case would be slow-walked until there was a Democrat in the White House to either pardon Hillary or drop the case. Another possibility is Hillary would die from old age before the case reached court.

As for the Nazism of the Alt-Right arm of Trump supporters: To pretend the Republicans is the only side with a cringy-fringe is being a tad naive or wholly disingenuous. You gotta love the hypocrisy of the Libtards being outraged by the Alt-Right'tards.

Yep! Elections have consequences. People have always gotten the government they deserve. Until the US voter gets over their misperception that elections are about "my side and their side" and figure out it's about OUR side/America, the US will continue to be run by ideologues and demagogues.

Black people involved in racist behavior "hail Obama" routinely. Formal or informal. Does that make Obama a racist president?

Just because a racist group supports a president doesn't make that candidate racist.

Obama is a career politician, he's polished and that's it. Never trust a politician and that goes for Trump as well. Sad that you had such a weak mind you bought into Obama's cult of personality to the degree you didn't even think his decisions should be properly vetted. Talk about Bizarro World!

I support a change in administration and a more conservative leadership, that's it. Time will tell if Trump can lead and if he will screw up. Obama supporters like you didn't care if he screwed up or if he was crooked because he was just "so dreamy"! You are the folks who fell in love with a man, I simply support a party platform.

Anonymous said...

I didn't think he would do any of those things, nor did I particularly care if he did, I just wanted a change in direction on the important issues. I was smart enough to realize that was just red meat for the masses. The left promises free shit to their LCD to win elections, the right now (thanks to Trump) has a game plan for mobilizing their LCD. It's just campaign politics man.

No Barry, not every traffic accident is a crime. There are a very few that are actually not attributed to human error on some level. The other 90-plus percent are traffic collisions and are the result of culpably negligent behavior.
In regards to incident mentioned, it was apparent that the vehicle was travelling at an unsafe speed. Busses don't tip over on a whim.

As far as Alt-Right behavior. Well, it is distressing. But it is also protected speech by the same first amendment that allows Westboro Baptists to protest at funerals, that allow numerous groups to burn, stomp, and do worse to the flag, and that allow the gang of liberals to immediately attack the future First Lady for remaining in NYC so her child can complete the school year at his current school, referring to her as a porn actress and an escort. As it is, there are probably very few Alt-Right/ Neo NAZI types that can even vote, since a significant percentage of those types became converts while doing time.

You asked Barry...the president controls the AG since Obama unfortunately for us all....moved into the White House.

Folks, the young Alt-Right folks are just preppy Neo-Nazis in nice suits. Most come from privileged backgrounds. The leader is a St. Mark's grad from Dallas, about as blue-blooded as you can get. Not Illinois Nazis meeting in their parent's basement. Very, very dangerous people. Smooth, educated, and media savvy. They are professionals in their PR approach. They know how to move the dial gradually to achieve their goals. Then all of a sudden, WHAM! Next thing you know, the Zyklon-B gas trucks are backing up to the "re-education & security" camps. My heartburn is that now that their agenda is out in the open, all you hear from Trump is crickets. He should be in front of cameras immediately stating that there is no place in his administration for people with this ideology and he rejects their support. There is Free Speech, but this is pure Hate Speech they are spewing. They are people who want to fashion your skin into lampshades and pull the gold from your poor dead jaw if you are non-white or non-Protestant. And they pretend to be red, white, & blue, flag waving Americans. If you don't see all that, you are blind.

Hypothesis: BG doesn't know football.

BG's Comment: "Amongst all the Charlie Strong talk and the loss to Kansas, everyone is overlooking that UT's star running back carried the ball fifty-one times on Saturday. Talk about what should be a crime."

Rebuttal: One can see from such a melon headed comment that the writer of this long is brainless when it comes to football. The game of american football, my good sir is about line of scrimmage control, clock management, defense and imposing your will on the other team/players.

Chris Warren is the Star running back at Texas. He is out hurt. The next man up theory, which is used in all of athletics (see Dak Prescott) is their current RB. 51 carries may seem excessive to you, but the Baylor system you so proudly bragged about when it was winning for you in in clear play here. Now you harp against it?

51 carries was done in design due to the lack of defensive abilities of Kansas. They can not stop the run. See Foreman's 250+yards as an example. You run the ball to wear them down. You run the ball to control the clock. You do it in a hurried fashion to run the defense ragged. Make them tired. Make them quit. Impose YOUR will on them. Maybe you need to watch this to understand...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYqZFWJEqas

51 carries to much? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe Foreman having Heisman chatter is what caused so many. Maybe he wanted that many. Maybe he didn't have sufficient back up's ready to go. Maybe the OC wanted to control the game and grind it out, and hit strategic passes wen needed.

The offense plan was fine. It was the 6 turnovers, that killed UT. Not 51 carries, as you implied as a crime...but then again your a liberal attorney....and we all know what that means...spray and pray it sticks.

Anonymous said...

Boy, those Baylor folks certainly have some non-traditional methods to getting the press on their side. Can't say I have ever seen anyone try the "put them in a headlock" and "choke the heck out of them" approaches before. Seems a little iffy to me, but to each their own.

Liberal politicians have been getting away with this for years, having a public opinion and a private opinion. Saying just enough to get elected, then changing positions once in office. We all saw it with Trump, he made a mockery of it, took it to an insane level, trolled the media and liberal America, and won.

Nothing funnier than setting back and laughing at all the folks who don't get it, and seeing them become the punchline. I laughed at the media for months for how literally they took it, saying to myself these fools are just dumb enough to buy in, give him free publicity and get him elected! Now to see you all cry is icing on the cake...and you still don't get that we are laughing at you!😂😂😂
