Random Friday Morning Thoughts

  • While blogging in a hurry, I went for a quick google of a picture of the West Explosion and that's what I got. Now we're back to doggies. Someone please adopt Sparky.
  • While jotting notes of possible blog posts, The 7th Grader in The House thought they were silly, so she points at an open window and says, "Hey, why don't you blog about that open window?"
  • I wonder if Rhome will accept the police chief's resignation? Update.
  • RHOME COUNCIL TO CONSIDER CHIEF’S RESIGNATION – The council will meet at 7 tonight to swear-in two new members, Sam Eason and LeAnne Mackowski, and re-elected mayor Michelle Pittman. Police Chief Brandon Davis’ resignation will be submitted to the council as well. The meeting is at City Hall, 105 E. First St.
  • Update to The Great Bathroom Debate of 2016. The White House says:
  • A school must allow transgender students to use the bathroom consistent with their gender identity. A school cannot require transgender students to use individual restrooms or locker rooms when other students are not required to do so. Schools can, however, offer individual restrooms to all students.
  • An Arkanas judge is accussed of swapping sex for reduced sentences. He wrote checks to the defendants for posing inside his home and outside in his yard. Checks? He wrote checks? This has been going on for a long time, but now he has resigned.
  • It's a busy Friday for me, but I do have more posts coming. Stay tuned.
  • Also, I think I might put in my one week notice for blogging. This and graduation activities may be too much to handle. We'll decide on Monday. (Looking around for Kleenex.)

That nasty Rhome City Hall had to be vacated due to mold.

I'd go along with the FWISD guidelines. The White House "suggestions" are a bit much.

Gosh, I wonder if any 15-year-old boys will think of shouting "gender identity" so they can spend government-approved time in the girls' locker room?

I wonder if Rhome will accept the police chief's resignation? Uh, I think the answer would be yes. It was unanimous. Eek

The meth guy who died in jail hurt less people in life than Rhome's police chief Davis

Charles Manson hurt less people in life than Davis did.

Hello, straw man #195,347,561.

OK, so the 7th grader does have a snarky sense of humor after all. Thanks for the clarification.

Maybe she should take over? But I don't want any RTBB's (Random Thought Boy Bands).

I see Wordkyle has switched to yet another silly argument. Let's see, a boy entering a girl's restroom would already be illegal, so, I'm guessing it doesn't happen a whole lot, and if it does, there are allready laws in place to protect against it.

Problem solved. Wordily may now go back to his regularly scheduled BS about e-mails and embassies....

No wordy they will not and no school will allow a normal healthy hormone failed teen boy to use a girls rest room. Plus stop the shower locker room scare also . No one in public schools takes a shower after P.E. or even athletes anymore. Yes I do know that because yes I did teach and coach for 30 plus years.may be able to come up with some arguments against this ,such as over reach of feds, but these are scare tactics are not valid.

10:29, you are wrong. Kids that work out before school shower after workouts. Teachers would beat up coaches if they didn't make those stinky kids shower.

That is a really ugly dog

So you guys are already setting standards for who can take advantage of new gender identity rules? Every one of your arguments is based on restricting options which the Obama administration just said can't be restricted.

10:29 --

Just wondering what scare tactics ARE valid in your confused world view. No one takes a shower after PE anymore? BS. Teacher for 30 plus years? BS.

To be clear, this is all about men using the women's restroom. If you are cool with that then own it.

Honestly, this whole paranoia on restrooms and who uses what could be solved with one little food additive. Saltpeter. Saltpeter in breakfast, lunch, and dinner. School meals, McDonalds Big Macs, Walmart groceries, etc. Saltpeter everywhere.

No 11:29 I coached both girls and guys before ,during and after and they spray deodorant all over wipe down a little and go. Obviously I did not see the girls dress but female assistants did go in the locker room. Now I I can only speak for the 3 schools I was at the last 25 years so others may be different.

11:45 stick to things you know ( if any) visit a high school after a PE class they do not shower idiot

250,

Saltpeter does absolutely nothing to lower libido.

Guaranteed, this bathroom stuff is going to bite a lot of companies, schools, etc, in the butt. The question for me is, what the hell is the issue? Everyone seems to be able to pee and defecate just fine now. So what is the dustup? Could it just be more of the liberal, look at me, look at me!? People that have no other purpose in life, so they want attention any way they can get it?

I took a poll in my family, and the results were that 100% of the females did not want anyone with a penis in their bathrooms or locker rooms, while they were in there. Since transgenders are only 0.3% of the population, why should 99.7% of the population be forced to risk discomfort?

For future reference...let us end this controversy now...Liberals, be sure to wipe AFTER you defecate. NOT before.

I think the transgenders should do their business before leaving home or carry a pee/poop pot for emergencies...it can and has been done. As children on a trip we always stopped on the side of the road and peed.
