Random Thursday Morning Thoughts

A guy got hit by a golf ball struck by Rory McIlroy and fell backwards into a cactus. YouTube.

  • Not sure what is going on here.

  • Incumbent House Rep. Dr. Lynn Stucky alleges campaign shenanigans against him in Bridgeport. I don't know if that was a distance violation or not, but I think any campaigning which involves the contacting of someone walking from their car to the voting booth is a bad, bad look. Leave me alone.

  • This is a mind blowing waste of taxpayer dollars. Cops set up a silly "sting" by running a fake escort ad which ended up snaring another cop. "Police said he reached out Monday morning to ask about rates and after some negotiation agreed to meet a person who he thought was a 27-year-old woman at a motel off North Central Expressway in Plano that afternoon." Cops were waiting for him inside the room.

  • So he wants to shut down a Catholic nonprofit that feeds and clothes refugees? He really is a miserable human being.

  • Good lord.

  • You certainly can't have those poor people voting.  (This is all directly related to wack job Tim O'Hare being elected County Judge.)

  • An unmanned U.S. commercial spacecraft will attempt to land on the moon at 4:30 p.m. CST today. I don't know why.

  • I think I can explain the crazy Alabama Supreme Court ruling that frozen embryos are people for "wrongful death" lawsuits.

  • Lawyers doing bad things out of San Antonio.

  • Nerdy law stuff: This guy, who is not a lawyer, represented himself in front of the Texas Supreme Court yesterday in Texas Windstorm Ins. Ass’n v. Pruski. I've got the video cued up. He did pretty well.  My only advice would be for him to invest in some collar stays.
