The Campaign For DA

12.30.2015

Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

  • So the Affluenza kid got caught because they ordered a pizza via cell phone in Mexico? Buddy, just walk down the road and eat a taco.
  • The Tarrant County DA was smart to hold a news conference. Juvenile probation law is incredibly complicated. At this point the best she can do to that kid is not revoke the probation as a juvenile, get him transferred to an adult court, keep the probation going to 2024 with a condition he spend a few months in county jail. Like I said, incredibly complicated.
  • I'm beginning to believe this affluenza defense. With idiot parents like that, the kid never had a chance.
  • I'm going to spend two and a half hours on an Amtrak train today, and I'm very excited about it.
  • In a bizarre game, Baylor beat a very good North Carolnia team last night by running the ball for 645 yards. That's the most ever in any bowl game in the history of bowl game ever. And it was done without their top two quarterbacks, best receiver, and best running back.
  • Oklahoma's quarterback took a verbal shot at TCU because of the way he believes he was treated during the recruiting process when he was in high school. TCU coach Gary Patterson fired back and I do mean fired. “If he wanted to blame TCU for 128 BCS schools not offering him a scholarship, that’s fine,” Patterson said. “But ask Kliff Kingsbury why he didn’t offer him a scholarship at Texas Tech. Ask about Baker’s dad. He’s an arrogant guy who thinks he knows everything. If people knew the whole story, they might not have a great opinion of Baker or his father.” Good lord.
  • For Christmas, Mrs  LL got me a rope bracelet with a porcelain plate on it.  That small plate has GPS coordinates on it. And where do they go to?: A particular place in the jungle of Costa Rica.
  • Trump now says he will spend money on advertising and is prepared to spend a lot of money on ads targeting any candidate who attacks him. Genius.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles coach was shockingly fired yesterday.  That team has been bad, he has made nutty decisions, but the firing was unexpected  If UT is not scrambling to hire him, then I don't know UT.  And it would be a great hire.
  • These are actual tweets from our Governer "1/2: I'm accusing Texas State Bar of religious discrimination for denying continuing education credit for Christian legal ethics programs" "2/2: The Texas State Bar leaders should be compelled to read my winning arguments upholding the Ten Commandments & One Nation Under God".  There's so much wrong with this but I can't get passed "compelled". Ok, My Fuher!
  • Tea Party darling Jon Stickland used to look for people to smoke "da green" with. At least according to  his cyber past was discovered according to a column today in the Star-Telegram. And you know what? It won't hurt him a bit. As that column says, nothing is normal about politics these days. http://bit.ly/1NV0mhN
  • My technical issues continue.

You must be talking about North Carolina's basketball team. Their football team is pathetic. One of the worst bowl games so far this year!

"With idiot parents like that, the kid never had a chance." That applies to a lot of (if not most) crime and criminals, which Liberals try to attribute to, variously: society, the cops, racist cops, trigger-happy racist cops, Republican policies, racism, Republican racism, white privilege, guns, Republican guns, drug laws, drug policies, Republican drug laws and policies, Christians, Conservative Christians, guns, religion, and bitter clingers.

The cause of crime is usually much closer to home than you guys are willing to admit.

Affluenza kid would have been well served by taking some of his money and buying some good advice on how to be a fugitive. Never go to a mojor tourist destination (full of U.S citizens) and order a pizza on your cell phone. Affluent and stupid, perhaps he should run for president some day.

What's the phone number of that fired Philadelphia coach? I would like to bend his ear about a possibility.

I spent my first anniversary with my wife going to the San Francisco area of California. We went down on "The Eagle" from Fort Worth to San Antonio, then were connected to the "Sunset Limited" to Los Angeles, all in a deluxe bedroom suite, which was fantastic! From Los Angeles to San Francisco we rode in coach car because it wasn't overnight. We flew back home after the trip. It was quite an experience!

You sound dumber than usual when you try and fail to be funny.

Mein Führer, I can walk!

And you know what? It won't hurt him a bit.

Stickland's opponent in the Republican primary, Scott W. Fisher, has the conservative credibility to win. Scott Fisher is an evangelical preacher who will wipe the floor with Stickland if they ever debate.

Jonathan Stickland reminds me of morons like Scott Armey, JD Granger and Dud Kennedy.

BREAKING: Ethan Couch fighting extradition. Is not on probation in Mexico. Attorney has filed "AMPARO". Will be 2 weeks - 2 months before he's extradited, if at all.

I understand your point...but at some point in life isn't everyone (actively or passively)responsible for the outcome of our own lives?

Yes the affluenza kid is young...toxic family

All parents make mistakes. I have a brother who rationalizes his behavior because of how our father acted...it just keeps the cycle going forward.

You're right Wordy. Racist cops, trigger-happy racist cops, Republican policies, racism, Republican racism, white privilege, guns, Republican guns, drug laws, drug policies, Republican drug laws and policies, Christians, Conservative Christians, guns, religion, and bitter racist clingers can all usually be traced back to bad parents and their warped, agenda filled rearing of children.

So our cheeseburger Rep Stickland used to smoke the sticky icky?
I don't have a problem with that, but many of his supporters in the micro bible belt district that he represents will.
I have a problem with him being a douche of the highest order.

Yeah, I got to agree with the others on here, NC had a good record in a horrible conference. If you watched any film on them you knew you could pound the rock at will. Being without top QB'S and receivers was actually a blessing because it led to the game plan they needed anyway.

1.) I thought I would make it through another year of never agreeing with Wordy but with 48 hours to go I am forced to side with him.

2.) The Couchs' are fighting extradition. If the Tarrant County DA was smart she would stretch the extradition process out as long as possible. Probably the only time the Couchs' will ever serve will be in that stinking Mexican jail they are in right now.

Those Amtrak trains are known for people farting a lot. A LOT. And the side wash of the air filtration...OMG. Just mixes the snoots and whew it's a rough ride.

If you really start to pay attention to what you hear reported...then you realize how NOTHING you read can be trusted.

If you paid attention to the idiots at ESPN and in sports journalism in general; you heard the story over and over about how surprised Bob Stoops was when he "heard" that Baker Mayfield had enrolled at OU. Come on; how stupid can people be?

I would really like to hear more about the Mayfield family...how it compares to the James family, the Manziel familt, etc

1019 #1 - Sorry, but you aren't in a position to agree or disagree with my point if you didn't understand the point in the first place. Your comment reflects a definite and clear lack of understanding. (Or else you purposely misstated what I said, then tried to represent your misstatement as my position. You're not that pathetic, are you?)

I dont get why folks are so upset about the Ethan Couch thing. Celebrities get preferred treatment all the time in courts. The only difference, this kid doesnt sing or act. Money buys anything these days. Get over it.

DON'T DRINK THE WATER!

Sacramento began quietly adding a chemical known as aluminum chlorohydrate, or ACH, to the public water supply in a supposed effort to save money on water purification. ACH was introduced as a replacement for ALUM – because it is said to be cheaper than ALUM.

ACH [aluminum chlorohydrate] was never properly safety tested, and in fact was known at the time to cause cancer, miscarriages and birth defects when ingested or inhaled.

It was quickly discovered, however, that ACH isn't even an effective water treatment method. But rather than remove the chemical altogether, the City of Sacramento took things a step further by adding excess amounts of chlorine in an effort to boost the efficacy of ACH – a move that would later prove to create an even more toxic substance.

"An astonishing failure, the combination of excess chlorine and aluminum chlorohydrate ended up yielding carcinogenic toxins known as 'DBPs' — disinfection byproducts," explains The AntiMedia. "Specifically, these are in the class of chemicals known as THMs, or Trihalomethanes.

http://www.naturalnews.com/052444_Sacramento_water_fluoridation_cancer_chemicals.html

-------------------------------

Haloacetic acids are a group of volatile organic compounds that are formed when chlorine, added to the water during the treatment process for disinfection, reacts with naturally-occurring organic matter in the water. Some people who drink water containing HAA5 in excess of the MCL over many years may experience may have an increased risk of getting cancer. If you have questions regarding this matter, you may contact James Ward at 940-683-5507

West Wise SUD is moving forward with a new Surface Water Treatment Plant that will reduce TTHM’s & HAA5’s.

-------------------------------

The city [Paradise] was notified of violations for high levels of trihalomethanes in water supplied to its customers during January and April quarterly monitoring. Trihalomethanes are environmentally pollutant chemical compounds formed as a by-product when chlorine is used to disinfect water for drinking.

You are so correct. Anyone who must comply with the myriad of so-called administrative rules knows it. It is a self perpetuating monster. The bureaucrats who are in charge of writing the rules and enforcing them change them at a whim so you don't stand a chance. It is to their advantage to increase the number of rules and change them before you can learn them so that they can keep and justify their jobs. With the increase of rules, there is an increase of bureaucrats, and then an increase of the budget for the agency, etc. forever. I see no hope of a rollback of the red tape. They even employ their own lobbyists!
