I'm not trying to influence the poll, but in 2010, there were 76,382 arrests in Texas for misdemeanor possession.

I don't understand why 95% of the people are agains smoking, but they want to legalize pot. Are they just using it in brownies?
If you don't want to do the time then don't do the crime. IT'S AGAINST THE LAW, ITS THAT SIMPLE.
Although I'm a cop who clicked on "Legalize It" (not because I'd want to use it, but because it's a silly law), this poll would have been more complete and scientific if you had an option for "Raise the penalty."

9:06 - the number opposed to smoking is closer to 75%. However, many non-smokers are in favor of decriminalizing marijuana for others and for themselves for occasional use. Most MJ users don't smoke a pack or 3 a day like real smokers.
