Random Friday Morning Thoughts

And we would get to find out.

  • The shooter was 16 years old, and a "community member" was the one who brought him down.

  • This youg man was from Azle.  After the hit, he was down on the field for over 45 minutes while first responders worked on him.

  • Story.  (The video is here but it's almost 4 hours long but the road side interaction is pretty crazy.)

  • We don't know what is going on, but it has to be big if these two positions are involved.

  • Seems excessive.

  • Video of the leap.  Yep, the dog was careflighted to the vet, but he's back home and on the mend.

  • Democracy isn't supposed to have a $158,000.000(!) price tag: Elon Musk is single-handedly funding Ken Paxton.  And a friendly reminder that  SpaceX and Tesla are both based in Texas so  Musk couldn't possibly want anything for his money.

  • We shouldn't trust this guy. At all.

  • Welcome to the Oligarchy.

  • Trump decided that it wouldn't be good television.

  • ESPN would be smart to cut loose the most boring and overpaid play-by-play man in the business.
  • Legal nerdy stuff for you personal injury lawyers: Last night the Fort Worth Court of Appeals reversed a $55,000,000 verdict involving "Texas Live!" for a security guard hitting a guy in the head with a beer bottle.  It sounds like the plaintiffs' lawyer tried to make the case much simpler than what it was.
  • Lauren Whitener Clock: 7 years and 105 days.
