Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

He gave us the picture of him eating chicken with a knife and fork.

  • Random Wise County dangerous driving video. (Facebook link.) Side note: This Facebook account will apparently be teaming up with the Messenger in some way.

  • Commissioners' Court Chaos: Video of this guy getting kicked out, and video of what caused the whole room to be cleared by crazy County Judge Tim O'Hare.

  • The number of times "luxury" is used in this story is bizarre.

  • Don't do that.

  • I haven't heard about this guy in years. Apparently he was cutting himself on a live-stream last night which freaked everyone out.

  • I don't know who this guy is, but you can easily find the video if you are so inclined.

  • Here's an idea for reining in Trump: Don't vote to confirm his unethical AG nominee.

  • This will make Republicans giddy. (Note: NBC is the only network to project him as the winner in a very close race.)

  • I've often mentioned how much I despise Rep. Jeff Leach. Last night he introduced Ken Paxton.

    • Flashback:

  • Trump was acting unstable for another day yesterday.

  • Gift link

  • We are waiting on confirmation as to whether a SpaceX rocket crashed into the moon last night (as planned.)

Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

Whatever happened to this thing?

  • I've seen this story a few times, but this really is insignificant. Horner filed a routine Motion for New Trial and the judge didn't rule on it at all.  However, once 75 days passed, the Motion was "automatically" denied by "operation of law."
  • There was a pretty big fire at the Jack/Wise County line yesterday. It was a good day for almost no wind.

  • That photo has a Cartel/Federale feel to it.

  • They figured out the speed and the guy's intentions by retrieving his own dashcam footage that was in his vehicle. (I'm referring to the guy on the left.)

  • There is no way in on God's green earth this guy should ever be voted out of committee as the next Attorney General of the United States, but that's exactly what will happen this morning.  John Cornyn, as I predicted, caved.
  • There was a time when a President of the United States would not dare express an opinion on anything that the Justice Department did. Now we have one who comments wildly on particular prosecutions.

Pirro leaving the Oval Office yesterday.

  • Conservatism has come a long way.

  • Not a bad question. He was on vacation for months filming this thing.

  • Sports: Evil Empire Ex Bijan Robinson just got a "three-year extension worth up to $75 million that now will make him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. Robinson will receive a record $51 million guaranteed"

Random Monday Morning Thoughts

This was near Lockhart and was caused when the balloon hit an electrical line. It was, and still is, the deadliest ballooning disaster to ever occur in the United States.

  • The big news over the weekend was a mass shooting in Idaho. Lots of videos of the gunman, as well as a  civilian returning fire, are everywhere online.  The shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

  • Meanwhile, in New York . . .

  • It took three years to make an arrest (and not yet an indictment) in this IV treatment death in Freestone County?

  • And another.

  • I can't tell you how outrageous this is. How many times did Trump and Jeanine Pirro, as well as others in the administration, tell us this guy was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt?  They will lie to you about anything and everything.

  • Late last night, Todd Blanche put in writing that the will not be a slush fund for the January 6th Insurrectionists (despite settlement documents that are already signed committing the government to do just that.) And Trump still gets immunity from tax audits worth $100 million which was also part of that settlement.

  • Trump blamed the Governor of Minnesota for the hacks on Friday. Really

  • Trump had a wild weekend.
    • He posted 43 times from Saturday morning to afternoon and almost all of them were crazy images that would get past presidents hospitalized for a mental health emergency.  This is a tame one:

    • Then on Saturday night he took a break just to make up news about the Iraq war.

    • And then he got up and golfed the next day in his own tournament and claimed to have shot a 70 win it.

  • He really said that in his "I will not quit" speech yesterday:

  • Let's check in on the Austin swamp:

  • CBS desperately will use any reason to get out of Romo's contract -- a contract which calls for him to receive $72 million over the next four years,

  • Flock cameras sure are making a lot of news

  • See . . .
