Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

Terrorist attack in Nice, France.

  • Ken Paxton is back from vacationing with his girlfriend in Europe and campaigning in Texas last night to tell us about faith and family.
  • There is some wild rain going on at the bottom of the Texas Hill Country. And more is on the way.

  • It still needs to pass the Senate:

  • Yesterday in the news about ICE making our streets killing zones

    • This morning: The "pause" is already over.  The killing will resume, apparently.

  • Speaking of something changing overnight: No more 20% toll.

  • The Memorandum of Understanding failed to mention this was going to happen.

  • Get ready.  He will announce how he intends to steal the mid-terms. It's over.

  • The Whitehouse tells you how to be a patriot.

  • At least his momma loves him.

  • If you want to see what an Order looks like transferring over $5 million of Trump's money from the court's registry to someone he assaulted and defamed, here ya go:

  • At this moment, Todd Blanche is in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee in his attempt to become Attorney General.

Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

This came on the heels of the Dallas shooting. That was a bad summer.

  • This has to just be a stunt.
  • Uh . . . .

  • I'm not one for conspiracies, but after I went through the Wise County bills associated with the Tanner Horner trial and posted the totals on Liberally Lean a few months back, the county website which publishes the data has stopped updating

  • I think it took me a second or two to figure out there are two separate mysteries of a black kid going out on the water with white friend(s) and not returning. Mississippi and locally

  • It's only a seven second video clip, but I've never seen flames look like they were coming out of a blowtorch like I see here.

  • ICE did it again yesterday morning. They killed a 26 year old man in front of his daughter. And, one again, there were no body cams, and they were operating in unmarked vehicles.  (And this is why local law enforcement shouldn't join up with ICE with 287(g) agreements.)

  • Meanwhile, in Houston: This is no way to get to the bottom of that shooting.

  • The Iran war ramped up for the third night in a row.

    • Related: We have a "Yay!/Boo!" this morning:

      Yay!
      Boo!

  • Trump was promoting a grand prix race in D.C. yesterday, and he got his own racing helmet. Everyone treats him like a Make-a-Wish kid.
  • Krazy Glue?

  • Two Supreme Court justices, Barrett and Kagan, will testify in front of a congressional committee this morning. You don't see that very often.

Random Monday Morning Thoughts

Jailer Gary Grimm survived a heart attack.

  • This is not the action of a free country.
  • Sen. Lindsay Graham suddenly died Saturday night after a "brief and sudden illness" per his staff.
    • Trump was on Fox and Friends this morning:

    • He was such a "dear friend" that Hannity misspelled his name. Twice.

  • Mitch McConnell (or someone) put out a proof of life photo with his hand on that day's newspaper like a hostage. That photo had to have taken hours to stage.

  • Rep. Ronny Jackson hasn't been detained at a rodeo lately, but he is alive as well and is trying to by a House chair.

  • I'm sure you've seen this video, but here ya go if you haven't. That poor guy wasn't doing anything wrong.

  • I don't know what I think about this case out of Mississippi.

  • Let's check in on that Memorandum of Understanding.

  • He's reckless and deranged.
  • The Business Second™. Apple accuses them of stealing information about hardware that is still being developed.
  • He's a Justice of the Peace out of Kleberg County. (Background on the arrest, which occurred at a Walmart, is here.)

  • Not to be confused with Sky Mirror at Cowboys Stadium:

  • Trump went to Walter Reed hospital this weekend for what he says was a "six month check-up".  He was last there just went 46 days ago.
