On the city council's agenda for Monday is a provision to voluntarily enter into a 287(g) Task Force agreement with ICE.  Why take on the expense and liability?  Texas law, through 2023's Senate Bill 4 which is in full force and effect, already gives local law enforcement all the power they need.
