Random Friday Morning Thoughts

The prices might seem cheap compared to today, but it is wild that the lawyers in Decatur all got together and decided what they would charge.

  • Lost of red flags in this story. Gift link

  • That' was a heck of a break-up agreement for a boyfrind-girlfriend relationship.

  • Anyone else confused why this fire is still burning?

  • So much winning.

  • I think the judge is on dangerous grounds if he wants to question a holdout juror this morning. And the defense lawyer seems to be taking a huge gamble in trying to remove that juror -- I'm not sure why he is so confident that the jury is hung 11-1 in the defendant's favor based upon the jury note.  What if that holdout juror has a "doubt" and it refusing to convict because of it, but the other jurors are telling him, correctly, that the doubt must be "reasonable" in order to vote to acquit.

  • Donkey murder.
  • Speaking of, J.D. Vance is an ass.
  • And the current Administration is ghoulish.  So the Secretary of Homeland Security gets his jollies by posting a picture of black men in chains being forced out of the country.

  • Breaking job numbers (if you trust them.)

  • College football is in chaos. LSU files suit in state court to allow it to put ex-NFL players on its roster (and won late last evenging) and the SEC files a federal lawsuit in Mississippi to stop it.

  • Fun facts from a couple of last night's college football games:
    • And Rutgers paid UMass $1.5 million for this home game

    • Oh, my.
