Pain

What a pain. That paragraph in last week's Attorney General Opinion by Greg Abbott is causing major headaches around Texas. No longer can a social security number be released in a document that is otherwise public. I'm not sure how Wise County is handling it - the county went to document imaging about 5 years ago and you can walk into the clerk's office and look up public records - many of which have social security numbers on them. So do they now go back and redact the SSN and rescan them?

Oscar Shadow People

It's hard to explain if you didn't see it, but these images were created by a performing arts group that could mold its members' bodies into creative shapes. (The one in the middle is the logo from "Snakes On A Plane.") And I couldn't find the best one for "The Devil Wears Prada."

I Never . . .

. . . get tired of looking at that place.

I've Seen It At The Decatur Walmart . . .

. . . but I didn't know it had a name: The Femullet.

Some Serious Thoughts On Immigration

- I watched this one minute clip intently and I don't speak a word of Spanish - I would personally be a human footstool to allow these girls to jump a border fence - Despite my long held beliefs, sour cream enchiladas apparently don't make you fat

Probably The Only Funny Thing At The Oscars Last Night

And it only ranks as a "mild chuckle."

Hey, Now

My favorite babe at the Oscars last night: The soon-to-be Mrs. Borat.

Last Team Standing

I'm not sure how much the county cares about basketball, but Decatur is still alive in the playoffs. They play Argyle on Tuesday - a team they lost to earlier this year.

A duplicate of the above picture is here on the DHS website - a site that is notorious for hosting pictures that are only slightly smaller than posters.

Cue Green Day: "Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road"

I'm as sentimental as the next guy (really) but this announcement was a foregone conclusion. OU/Texas will follow and it wouldn't surprise me if the State Fair doesn't move to Arlington as well (or somehow Six Flags becomes the State Fair in October.)

The Cotton Bowl is dead. I love that old place (there aren't many of us that can say we saw the Cowboys play there), but time moves on.

Big News That Ain't

I'm not sure I've ever seen more media apathy than over the coverage of the "Christ's Family Burial Tomb Found" (Including Son) story. It got a huge segment on NBC's The Today Show and was featured on The Drudge Report, but it barely made a note on CNN. The best I can tell, Yahoo News completely ignores it. [Edit: Yahoo appears to be covering the story on the morning after it broke.]

How can we not trust the director of Titanic? I mean, he made up that Jack Dawson character but that can be forgiven.

Breaking News

Chili's in Decatur was closed at lunch due to a hot water heater "breaking."

Mayor seeks Federal Disaster Relief.

Developing . . .

Pink

There's a lot going on there.

Tragic news

The hot water heater at Chili's has broken causing it to be closed for lunch. The humanity!

. . . . The most exciting thing I can think of for Monday morning. (Although the pics of her and Cameron Diaz smoking a joint might be a tad more interesting.)
