• It is Day Three of the LiberallyLean.com URL Crisis.  Tell your friends and tell your enemies, you can still get here by going to WiseCounty.com or skattershooting.blogspot.com .   EDIT: Our long national nightmare is over. Everything is now back to normal. 
• The Motion for New Trial hearing continues in the track meet stabbing case.  But, for what it's worth, I don't think an agreement to keep out likely inadmissible evidence damaging to both sides is unusual at all.   I've done it a few times before by just a verbal agreement with a prosecutor -- but you have to trust the prosecutor. 
  

  

  
  
• An interesting side note was the Collin County's PR Director testifying that he got chewed out by a prosecutor and the judge in private meetings and then being fired. 
• Despite legal victories, I'm still interested in whether Gateway Church survives this scandal.  And I'm beginning to believe that it just might.

• It's the first time they've lost a defamation lawsuit in more than 50 years. But this was also the verdict of an "Alabama jury" so it's far from over. 
  
  
  
• "An American tourist fell to her death from the 18th floor of a five-star Cancun hotel as her inconsolable husband told staffers afterward that his wife had done something 'outrageous.'
