It is Day Three of the LiberallyLean.com URL Crisis. Tell your friends and tell your enemies, you can still get here by going to WiseCounty.com or skattershooting.blogspot.com. EDIT: Our long national nightmare is over. Everything is now back to normal.- The Motion for New Trial hearing continues in the track meet stabbing case. But, for what it's worth, I don't think an agreement to keep out likely inadmissible evidence damaging to both sides is unusual at all. I've done it a few times before by just a verbal agreement with a prosecutor -- but you have to trust the prosecutor.
- An interesting side note was the Collin County's PR Director testifying that he got chewed out by a prosecutor and the judge in private meetings and then being fired.
- Despite legal victories, I'm still interested in whether Gateway Church survives this scandal. And I'm beginning to believe that it just might.
- Side note: That's a lot of lawyers.
- Meanwhile, in Wichita Falls . . .
- This happened a couple of days ago, but now a video of it has been released. It was not what I was expecting.
- It's the first time they've lost a defamation lawsuit in more than 50 years. But this was also the verdict of an "Alabama jury" so it's far from over.
- "An American tourist fell to her death from the 18th floor of a five-star Cancun hotel as her inconsolable husband told staffers afterward that his wife had done something 'outrageous.' The woman, who has not been identified, plunged 150 feet in the fall that happened at the adults-only, all-inclusive Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa late Thursday night, Mexican outlet Sipse reported."
- Late yesterday:
- Blame it on the Heat Dome.
- Someone will definitely try to drive with that thing attached.
- There is something really weird about Trump's social media gal.
- Trump is probably making all this up this morning but, if true, I don't think he understands what "help our ranchers" means.
- Man, that guy buys a lot of property. He has homes in on 1,400 acres in Hawaii and on Lake Tahoe and many more.
- Seems excessive.
- Rightly or wrongly, the Sooners believe in him.
- Lauren Whitener Clock: 7 years and 47 days.
