- A big murder conviction in Wise County was affirmed (PDF) late yesterday by the Fort Worth Court of Appeals. One of the points of appeal was a juror passing out during some of the testimony.

- In other news, the Tarrant County DA's office was having a little trouble in misdemeanor court this week. One not guilty and two directed verdicts against them. And there are still two verdicts yet to come.
- There are large parts of the Alliance area which didn't have electricity for over 24 hours after a minor storm blew threw on Wednesday evening.
