- Dateline Houston. Oh, my.
- Photos from the weekend:
- The ACL music festival in Austin was a muddy mess, and this is a great photo for a lot of reasons.
- Former special prosecutor Jack Smith went to a Bruce Springsteen shown.
- Gov. Hochul is listed at 5'8". AG James' height is hard to pin down.
- The GOP thought it would be a good idea to roll out ads featuring Angela Paxton urging you to vote straight Republican ticket. First, all you think about when you see it is that Ken Paxton cheated on her. Secondly, the line that a general election is not about “the individual players” is one crazy take.
- Trump continues to go crazy.
- Tell me again that the United States will never be a socialist country.
- If you voted for him, you deserve him.
- Drugs? They were manufacturing drugs in the nuclear plants?
- Not only is this a bizarre rant, but he posted a congressman's phone number.
- Another bizarre rant -- this time about Fox News not covering his Alabama rally on Saturday night.
- That could stop its use by guys who care more about their hair than their bellies. And that's pretty much all of them.
- Very legal nerdy stuff: The Texas Supreme Court agreed on Friday to hear a Wise County case that should make every lawyer scared to practice civil law. (Court of appeals opinion here.)
- No one is listing the cause of death which is normally a bad tell-tale sign.
- Weekend Sports:
- "During"?
- A replay review turned into Inception on your TV screen.
- Anyone else irritated about the three hour scroll for a flash flood warning for the strange place of "Henderson and Henderson" during the Tech/Colorado game?
- Of course, Wise County rep. Andy Hopper was a speaker at the Anti-Muslim rally referenced below:

Friday Morning Random Thoughts
- While you were sleeping, Washington Mutual was seized by the FDIC and then sold to JPMorgan Chase & Co. Holy cow.
- Everyone is referring to that as a "bank failure" which makes it the largest "bank failure" in the history of the United States.
- Being the voice of Big Tex would be a beating. And that guy is kind of creepy based upon a live interview I saw this morning.
- I slept right through my alarm this morning. That never happens.
- From a political standpoint, this economic mess can't have come at a worst time for the Republicans since the masses, rightly or wrongly, blame the incumbent party. (Did I already write this?)
- Grisham's An Innocent Man (I'm 60% through it) is absolutely fantastic. And the fact that it focuses on a small county's criminal justice system is like candy for me (if I really liked candy.)
- The smoking hot Jillian Barberie is a shocking 42 today.
- Here's the pretty detailed press release from the U.S. Attorney regarding the arrest of the former Boyd pastor on child pornography charges. (Not sure why the feds need to get involved.) But you might want to rethink your life if you actually choose the email address of: girlpedolover@yahoo.com. Can you make it any more obvious?
- I wonder if IHaveAMethLabInBoyd@yahoo.com is available? (Edit: I added this line after this post originally went up. At the same time, MzChief made an almost identical joke in the comments. Neither one of us saw the other do the same schtick. Frightening.)
- Ugh: Last night I stick the ol' gas nozzle in the gas tank, begin filling, and go into the convenience store for something else (although I always fear coming back out and seeing that I have flooded the Southwest Proper with gasoline.) But, after spending a few minutes in the store, I come back out to see that the filling had malfunctioned after 1.07 gallons. Fail.
- I got an automated email last night from the web site I told you about a couple of weeks ago that alerts you to close sporting events. It read, "Oregon State 21 #1 USC 0 - Halftime - Potential Upset - ESPN Ch. 206." I didn't even know the game was going on, and I was able to switch over and watch what turned out to be a an actual upset.
- And Oregon State was lead by a 5'6" running back. Go little guy.
- Fox 4 Megan Henderson told the TV world this week that that she has been diagnosed with "toasted skin syndrome." That's about all I know, but I'm speculating like a mad man.

Drunk Man Gets The What For From A Cop In East Texas
Although the story never says the officer struck the man with his fist (he just used his baton), I loved this statement: "I went to the emergency room at East Texas Medical Center in Henderson where they told me one of the knuckles on my right hand was fractured.”
And the headline to the story was "Overton Officer Injured When Attacked."
Story.

Random Friday Morning Thoughts
- Well I'll be, the new V.R. Eaton High School in Northwest is named after the father of the Messenger's owner and publisher Roy Eaton. Can't believe I missed that (or knew it and forgot it.)
- The Log Cabin Republicans (the gay ones) are being refused a booth at the Texas Republican Convention in Fort Worth. The Texas Supreme Court has previously unanimously agreed they can be excluded -- a court that had Greg Abbott and John Cornyn on it at the time.
- Wait a second, at the PBR Challenge in Decatur this weekend, local "celebrities" Fernando Escobar, J.D. Clark, Beau Bell, Joe Neil Henderson, Jeff Sicking and Wade Watson are going to ride a bull? Do I have this right?
- What are horrible scene in Arlington yesterday when a car wreck at an intersection carried over onto the sidewalk and killed a baby in a stroller.
- One of the people killed in the motorcycle/car accident last weekend near Slidell was Cassie Marlana “Pocahontas” Turner of Ardmore. Here's a photo and obit of her from the Ardmore paper.
- So Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is willing to pay $2 billion for the Clippers? Two thoughts: (1) The players might want to remember that the next time the collective bargaining agreement expires. (2) That'll teach Donald Sterling!!!
- The $2 billion calls into question all of those Forbes "most valuable" lists. Earlier this year they valued the Clippers at $575 million.
- And speaking of Sterling, he has been declared "mentally incapacitated" which allows for his wife to act on behalf of their jointly owned trust which technically owns the team? No way. He's getting robbed and will win if he wants to fight it. And if the NBA was behind this whole scheme, they've got big trouble on their hands.
- I got sucked into the finals of the National Spelling Bee live last night on ESPN which included a girl from Abilene and a guy from Fort Worth (and formerly of Keller ISD) who eventually was the co-champion. It was really good TV. (And the kid yelling "What!" after missing a word became a video sensation.)
- The spelling bee also reminded me of the great documentary Spellbound. In it, a young competitor having immigrated from India said, as she reflected on the different ways of life, "America is different because in India you don't get second chances."
- I was excited to have Baylor in the Softball College World Series. That is, until the first game yesterday: They lost 11-0 with the game being stopped in the fifth inning because of the ten run rule which was reached dramatically on a grand slam. What a beating.

MyPhone

I bought an IPhone. I had been tempted. I put the temptation behind me. And then I yielded to the forbidden Apple.
Review after 24 hours of use: This is the greatest invention I've ever seen. The screen is crystal clear. It's intuitive. It's lightening fast. And it's freakin' cool.
I've spent a couple of years jacking with Windows Mobile 5 on my cellphone and there is simply no comparison to the IPhone. I've used every application on it, and it has yet to become sluggish or lock up. It does what it says it will.
The only hitch came with the activation that I had to do myself over the Internet. Everything went fine until ITunes told me to wait for an email. I got it with a message to call an 800 number. I did and talked to a very nice Apple Guy who, after a couple of minutes of verifying I hadn't stolen the phone, told me my "SIM card had become disconnected" and that I needed to take it to the nearest AT&T store for a replacement. Sheesh. But I hightailed it down to Joe Neil Henderson's place and found a kid who was more than happy to help. I was up and running in 15 minutes.

Friday Morning Jump Start

- The Aggies didn't look so hot last night against Miami
- I watched part of Rockwall and Southlake Carroll which was, amazingly, on Channel 21
- Megan Henderson was especially hot on Fox 4 News this morning
- I need to go to the jail to see some court appointed client who might be crazy
- This morning would be great if it didn't feel like summer
- Some anonymous guy tried to post about a public official driving like a bat out of hell last night but I couldn't confirm it. So he cussed me this morning in another attempted comment because I didn't post it.

Wedding Bells
Well, it looks like Megan Henderson finally heard about my unhealthy infatuation with her and sent me an autographed photo. (Actually, it went through Sheriff David Walker who delivered it to me today. Man, that guy is connected.) But if you'll look closely at this scanned-in reproduction you'll see what looks like a little heart by her name. Yep, I think she's sweet on me.Megan, I'll

Random Monday Morning Thoughts

- New report: "The Justice Department has released a new report showing the nation's prison and jail population reached a record 2.3 million people last year. The United States leads the industrialized world in incarceration . . . . In fact, the U.S. rate of incarceration (762 per 100,000) is five to eight times that of other highly developed countries, according to The Sentencing Project, a criminal justice think tank."
- The kid who played a young George Bailey and got slapped around by the drunken pharmacist in It's A Wonderful Life has died.
- Rangers manager Ron Washington said last night on Channel 4 that he wouldn't "validify" any rumors about why a pitcher was released.
- Read this somewhere: A District Attorney needs to be trusted but not necessarily loved. I'll buy that.
- The Cure was at American Airlines Center last week. And it's amazing how quickly video turns up on youtube. (Although a 50 year old Robert Smith dressed up all goth-like is a bit disconcerting.) But me loves me some Cure.
- Troy Aikman sounds mentally challenged when he appears in any commercial.
- You would think theft of gas by siphoning would become a problem
- Had "Special K With Cherries" for breakfast and the box had a ton on cherries in it.
- The Geico commercial with Mrs. Butterworth doing the speaking made me nervous the first time I saw it. I had her confused with Aunt Jemima.
- I ate at On The Border on Friday off Western Center Boulevard. When did your average dining crowd begin to look like it was headed to NASCAR?
- I don't know who Wayne Rooney of the soccer team Manchester United is, but this outdoor pic of his bachelor party makes me want to distance. He's the one wearing my bathing suit.
- Fox 4 weatherman Ron Jackson (who is filling in on the the morning show this week), just said he normally wakes up around 11:00 a.m.
- The two year old song, "85 Feet and Falling" by the Dallas band Sorta gets me every time. It's about a guy who killed his girlfriend by throwing her off a Dallas freewway and then jumping to his death as well ("It happened when they left their Knox/Henderson apartment . . . . Fifty miles away in roaring rush hour traffic, her body came to rest on Janet Durham's Crown Victoria." (That pick-me-up of a song is available in a free mp3 download here.)
- News about the new Apple iPhone as well as the software update news for the old one will be released today around 11:30 a.m.
- If it takes longer than 10 minutes to prepare, I won't cook it.
- Second gasoline thought: You would think that teleconferencing via webcams would finally come into its own.
- Third gasoline thought: How much is gas at a lake marina?
- Oddest article in this month's issue of the always horrible Texas Bar Journal: "Lawyer Marketing With Twitter." You think some question marks are going to be forming over some lawyer heads?
- After God ends poverty, I'd appreciate it if He'd work on the Texas wind.
- The Supreme Court opinion on the right to keep and bear arms should be released within the next two weeks and possibly today. I'm guessing you'll be able to keep your 12 gauge.
- D Magazine made a big mistake this month. And it does not involve pictures of high school seniors.
- WBAP's failed "The Reporter" bit was on this morning in an attempt to do comedy about the Governor Mansion fire. Bad idea. But, from a different source, I learned that Rick Perry was in Europe at the time of the fire. Best. Job. Ever.
- Not sure why five Aggies lost in the ocean for nine hours but being rescued is not a bigger story.
- Time lapse photos of Cowboys' new stadium.

Fox 4 (or something like that) in Los Angeles
I think this is where Megan Henderson went although she doesn't appear in the video. Instead it features a sassy little reporter in a bikini who should immediately be given a contract to come to Dallas.
(Plus I had to do something to get those skinny girls off the top of the page.)
Edit: Oops, forgot to credit Alice for sending this to me

Random Thursday Morning Thoughts

- It seems Mark Cuban fired Avrey over the phone. Stay classy.
- Fox 4's Megan Henderson looks extremely hot this morning. (And there are new T-shirts with her image on them.)
- The trooper killed in East Texas (and who left behind a five month old baby) was shot (allegedly) by a former cop.
- The commercials for the ant killer, which try to recreate youtube videos of projects gone bad, are not funny and poorly produced.
- Fox 4 just told me there are now 40 million Hispanics in the country (or 15%). In Texas, they make up 36%. This will be the last day those numbers/percentages are that "small".
- Today is the five year anniversary of "Mission Accomplished." Uh, not so much.
- Speaking of W, did you see his Jessica Simpson joke yesterday as the NY Giants visited the White House? He had that weird smirk which we haven't seen in a while.
- I've begun to watch In The Valley of Elah. So far, it's great.
- I'm 80% through with the 30 hour audio book, The Fountainhead. I don't think I "get it."
- LBJ's presidential recordings from 1968 will be released today. If you've ever heard excerpts of some of the previous releases, give 'em try. He was smooth but, man, he could bear down on someone to get what he wanted.
- Saw a brief moment of Deal Or No Deal last night. That show is like a bullet to the brain.
- Matt Lauer is in Istanbul, Turkey. (But the intro of Meredith, Al, and Ann screaming "Where in the world is Matt Lauer?" is getting very irritating.)
- Don't see any updates in the Star Telegram about the bad wreck yesterday at the Devon Energy plant.
- I almost ran over lawyer Mike Simpson on the courthouse square this morning.

America!
Side notes:
(1) The female anchor is the great Megan Henderson -- formerly of Fox 4 news.
(2) The beach on-the-scene reporter looks familiar.

Pounding
I love Fox 4 News. Heck, I was married to Lari Barager until I had that "incident" with Megan Henderson at the Christmas party that caused a messy breakup. But that's old news that was well documented by People magazine.
Anyway, I'm watching that fine news show tonight when Steve Eagar throws it to some guy named "Foti" (a sure sign that trouble was ahead) who is on the beach at Galveston. Why? Because it is certain to be completely destroyed by a thunderhead that's out there in the gulf right now.
People, it's a pain to record these videos and upload them to youtube, so watch this. The key word is that the beach is getting "pounded" by the waves. That's all you need to know. Roll the tape.

Random Thursday Morning Thoughts
- What a beating for people in the Mesquite area this morning. Not only do you have to live in and around Mesquite, but LBJ freeway was shut down due to an 18 wheeler full of chicken parts overturning.
- Final meal of the guy executed in Texas last night: Two chicken fried steaks smothered in gravy with sliced onions; a triple meat bacon cheeseburger with fixings on the side; a cheese omelet with ground beef, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and jalapenos; a large bowl of fried okra with ketchup; one pound of barbecue with half a loaf of white bread; three fajitas with fixings; a meat lovers pizza; three root beers; one pint of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream; and a slab of peanut butter fudge with crushed peanuts.
- Does an execution date and time cause you to work up an appetite?
- A side note for those not facing execution: Any food "smothered" in something is probably not a healthy choice.
- OK, Mrs. LL had me watch the premiere of Modern Family last night (on about a two hour delay.) That show is very funny.
- One place which I'd love to be this weekend: At College Station watching the #8 Aggies play #6 Oklahoma State.
- Our little Yorkie has decided for the last two nights that she wants to go outside at two in the morning. Did you know it's really peaceful outside at two in the morning even when you want to kill a Yorkie?
- Odds of the following web ad being misleading or blatantly untrue?
- Florence Henderson of The Brady Bunch is out pimping a new book and every interviewer wants to talk about that old sitcom that went off the air in 1974. That's the price she has to pay and, sadly, she's more than willing to do it.
- R.E.M. has announced they are breaking up after I've been waiting since 1988 for them to have an album as good as Eponymous. (And my quick research after typing that sentence caused me to learn for the first time that it was a greatest hits album. I had no idea.)
- Even little things will get you in trouble. Dallas cop sitting on hood of his patrol car as a gal who had left "Beamers" nightclub in Dallas sat behind the wheel. (Story with pic.)
- Lake Bridgeport is down 13.5 feet -- and that's with a brief week of stability due to the rain.
- Bridgeport/TCU alum Colin Jones and sixth round pick of the San Francisco 49ers was waived last week but ended up back on the team's practice squad.

Random Monday Morning Thoughts
- Beer theft at a Baylor game (link is to a guy taking photos of a gal caught in the act on Saturday.) Edit: Sheesh. They took the post down. Edit (again): Someone grabbed a couple of the pics before the link was taken down.
- A guy or guys snuck into the Wade Phillips post-game press conference last night and asked him if he missed Jessica Simpson. That was an ender.
- Shocking and shockingly random: There are only two district courts in Waco to handle criminal cases.
- Football for Wise County high schools is not-a-good this year.
- Someone told me that Tech quarterback Tyler Potts looks 35 years old.
- I had a rare "I love my life" moment after jogging on Saturday morning and then walking around the block to cool off.
- Went to Bone Daddy's in Grapevine on Saturday. I like that place. But does every girl under 30 have a tattoo?
- Fox 4's morning show debuted Megan Henderson's replacement this morning. I'm not sure what I think about her.
- John Madden and George Bush sat together at the Cowboy game last night. I would have liked to have heard that chit chat. Or not.
- I think Cowboys Roy Williams is spare, but he sure does block down field.
- There were reports this morning that a ton of folks who bought the "party pass" to the Cowboys game did not even get to go into the stadium but had to watch the game on the big screens outside. That's just strange -- something has to be going on.
- Although the judges on the Texas Supreme Court are elected (how silly), as soon as Gov. Perry makes his next appointment to fill a currently vacant seat, it will make six of the nine judges that have originally began their seat on their court by appointment.
- Wade Phillips has a new act: He no longer cheers on the sideline after a touchdown or a field goal. I'll bet money that he has consulted with a PR guy.
- About those attendants that take your money to park around Cowboys Stadium: If you're Jerry Jones, how do you prevent them from robbing you blind?
- The interception that went off Jason Witten's foot last night was bizarre.
- No offense to the the Evil Empire, but your home crowd of 90,000+ is the quietest bunch of 90,000 people I've ever seen.
- The Cowboys have the "Rhythm & Blues Dancers" (read: strippers who don't strip) dancing on platforms above the crowd?
- And 41 people were arrested at the Cowboy game for Public Intoxication? Wow.

Random Thursday Morning Thoughts
- Motorcycle death in Tarrant County.
- SMU has a mess on their hands. Head Coach June Jones was seconds away from leaving the school before Arizona State pulled its job offer. Next team meeting theme: Awkwardness.
- A couple of stations last night had a news feature on the dispute over a nativity scene on the lawn of the courthouse in Henderson County. A county official interviewed seemed absolutely oblivious to the fact it is patently illegal.
- And one county commissioner said he would fight to keep the nativity scene up until "hell freezes over." Another resident proclaimed, "So now they're trying to take the Baby Jesus?" Source. If Fox News doesn't go with 24/7 coverage with Sean Hannity broadcasting live from the courthouse lawn, I'll be very disappointed.
- My overhauled front flower beds included a ton of flowers this summer. They lasted, beautifully I might ad, until December 6, 2011.
- Gov. Perry's new ad: "You don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there is something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas." They took Christmas away from kids? When? Did the gays do it?
- I was putting up another string of lights last night (in the cold) and managed to blow the fuse out even before the were up. That gave me Slumped Shoulders.
- Update on the Wise County identity theft case I posted below: Cops have identified the culprit. They also asked me to take the fake DL down in the meantime. I agreed because I support the police.
- What a goofy state trooper I saw this morning. He was going down the highway in a 65 mph zone and weaved over and hit the rumble strip three times. A truck then passed him going no more than 67 so, of course, the trooper pulls him over.
- Edit: Loved the guy in the comments who didn't catch the humor when the two above bullet points are read back to back.
- On the Ticket yesterday, they had an adult film actress on (I have no idea why) who revealed that she was in 80 films in her first year in the business. Craig Miller then asked her: "Are you very picky when if comes to choosing the right script?" She didn't get the joke.
- It's amazing how many websites refer to the "Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl" as the "Bridgeport Education Holiday Bowl." The Wall Street Journal made the mistake this morning.
- Alec Baldwin, who got thrown off an American Airlines plane because he wouldn't turn his phone off, says flying is now a "Greyhound bus experience." He's right about that.
- From the email bag: "You should check out the Southern Arkansas University theft of 5 horses and one being painted in camo and one being brutally killed. They finally made arrests and one was an 18 year old SAU rodeo team member Jaci Jackson her FB comments over off the chart!!" I had seen the story, but couldn't find the Facebook page unless this is it.
- The site that has correctly projected the Heisman winner nine out of the last nine years, unveils its final prediction today at 10:00 a.m. Currently it has Baylor's Robert Griffin in the lead with an 80.7% chance of winning. Never in my life would I have believed. Edit and Update: They officially predict RG3 to win.
- Not only is Collin County indicting public officials, it's also happening down Waco way:

Random Thursday Morning Thoughts
- Southwest is now flying to Boston which reminded me that the Wright Amendment is gradually being repealed. Was the phase out period five years or ten years? And it seems like the legislation is about five years old.
- I could get that answer within 20 seconds, but I don't want to use the Google.
- Fox 4 News is in hi-def as of yesterday.
- Megan Henderson, who I wanted to see in hi-def, was not on the news this morning.
- It seems like the comments written here yesterday were particularly hateful. Not sure what caused the Bubba Factor to get out of whack.
- I saw Milk with my "companion" last night. (Ok, it's a cute little blonde gal so everyone calm yourselves.)
- Milk is great. Sean Penn is greater.
- Milk also has old news footage of Anita Bryant, a lady I hadn't thought of in years, and her anti-gay campaign. (Her life, as profiled on Wikipedia, would be a pretty good movie in itself, and the "pie in the face" footage was huge news when I was a kid.)
- I love it when movies based upon real life show photos at the end of the "real people" upon which it was based. (That was a hard sentence to word, and I'm still not pleased.)
- Jarhead is going to end up on the news some day in a road rage incident. Case in point. But I still don't understand what started it all yesterday.
- "Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," - Our new Attorney General proclaimed yesterday.
- The world will not end in 2012?
- You can go to Texas Stadium one last time this weekend (free entry/free parking) and buy some crap. I might do it.
- The roads around Grapevine Mills Mall are confusing. But one did lead me by a place called Cutie Pie's that I had heard about.
- Some are wondering if Tech will fire Mike Leach. If I'm the Athletic Director, I'd be the one worrying about my job.
- Ever thought about Heath Ledger's The Joker and Beetlejuice in the same photo?
- Everyone tells me I would like Step Brothers.
- I hate this time of year for some reason.

Random Friday Morning Thoughts
- Megan Henderson decided to break out a rare sexy top this morning. Good times.
- I've never been on, nor seen, Lake Texoma
- I can't remember the guy's name that beat Jeremy Wariner in the 400 meters last night, but when he was asked if "a month ago would you believe it if someone told you you would beat Wariner by .99 seconds, would you believe it?" is reply was, "Absolutely." Funny.
- Gymnast Nastia Liukin returned to DFW Airport yesterday to a crowd of adoring fans. I bet she's going to turn into one high maintenance girl. (And a chunky Carly Patterson showed up.)
- I make up my bed every day.
- Now the Bush Administration is talking about 2011 as a deadline for the pullout of troops from Iraq? Wow. After all these years of telling us how setting a deadline would lead to catastrophic results? Any chance they are trying to make moot a major issue in the presidential election?
- "Girls Gone Wild Bus Booted From Sundance Square"? Welcome to communist Russia.
- I still laugh at the Spaghetti Cat.
- My desktop computer at home bit the dust about six months ago, and since then I've gone with just a wireless laptop. I probably won't replace the dead 'puter.
- The girl in the pic is relatively famous. Win a fake free T-shirt with the correct guess. Edit: Nope, not Britney. Edit #2: Anobiter in the comments wins the sexy T-shirt with the correct answer.
- There a Dr. Boothe (eye surgeon) commercial which is nothing more than a close up of a girl in a bikini on a surf board. Makes me want to have lasik surgery.
- I truly don't know how communism practically works. For example, if I'm I Chinese worker, who sets my pay scale? Is there a pay scale? Does my boss send in all the profits to the government who then writes me a check based upon need?
- Both American 400 meter relay teams dropped the baton last night. I still remember vividly how I screwed up the same race for my 7th grade team. If someone would have told me I would remember it three decades later I would not have said, "Absolutely."
- McCain not knowing how many houses he owns may end up being a big deal.
- Nothing, absolutely nothing, of interest will be revealed in an interview with a professional athlete. And I think it's amazing some of those dumb guys don't say something crazy all the time.
- I wonder what life would be like if we didn't have to sleep? I bet we'd all end up getting in more trouble with all that free time.
- "A city drug panel has voted to urge police to refrain from arresting adults for marijuana possession during next week's Democratic National Convention." That's funny.
- Thought from The Shack that has stayed with me: We all have our own set of rules on what we consider to be right and what we consider to be wrong. And even an individual's judgments change over time. Things a person used to think were right he now considers wrong and vice-versa. So if everyone has their own set of rules and even those rules don't remain constant, no wonder there is chaos in this world.
