  • The city manager abruptly resigned in Wichita Falls. He was paid $278,000 a year. 

  • These "law and order" Republicans are hard to figure out sometime. Story

  • Tarrant County's crazy county judge congratulates himself in the third person.  And he's full of it. All it takes to get admitted to the "bar" in the Supreme Court is filling out paperwork and paying $200.

  • We're not gonna make it!

  • "LUFKIN, Texas (KLTV) - An Angelina County judge abused his position of power by requiring an employee to complete mandated justice of the peace training in his place, according to court records."


  • The New York Times is focused on Texas this morning:

  • There seems to be a lot of stories this morning on the real possibility of  a "cure" for skin cancer. 

  • Legal nerdy personal injury story that will interest some of you. 

  • Something about this incident makes me think there might be a lot going on here.  There was even an Aggravated Assault "report" that was "filed."

Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts




One of my all time great predictions because two days later he admitted that he made it up. 

  • "Three people were killed and two others were hospitalized after a wrong-way driver caused a series of crashes early Tuesday on State Highway 121 in Fort Worth, according to police. Fort Worth officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to a crash reported near Airport Freeway and North Riverside Drive."

  • Three people were killed in a house fire in South Parker County last night, but there is barely any news coverage about it. 
  • I'm not real sure how Keller can tell Westlake what to do about anything. But a judge issued this order (PDF) yesterday afternoon.

  • This happened a week ago in Plano, but the New York Post has better coverage of what happened that any DFW news stations. 

  • Big Ten news.

  • We are having a rough time on the open seas.

  • I'd be running like a school girl. 

  • Trump is going to steal the mid-terms. It's over.

  • Trump and his official White House account were not happy with CNN yesterday.
