Random Thursday Morning Thoughts

This would be the beginning of the end for Roger Ailes. And it would be come a feature film named, Bombshell.

  • The bodycam videos have yet to be released by ICE in this shooting death of a man who had been here for 35 years and had no criminal record.  Also, “Three men were in the van with Lorenzo at the time of the shooting, including his brother. They have been detained, and their whereabouts are unknown. There is fear the men will be deported to prevent them from providing testimony about ICE’s actions.”

  • I'm not sure what Mark Cuban is doing here, and I doubt that he does either.

    • But this excerpt from the court filing is really interesting. For the brilliant business owner, he sure put a lot of stock on a non-binding, handshake side-deal.

  • The new defense lawyers filed a Motion for New Trial a couple of days ago, but the PDF of it is now available.   You know, the section about the public basically being excluded from courtroom might have some merit.

  • Lets check in on the Memorandum of Understanding.

  • Sorry to hear this news, but that song was a beating.

  • I was surprised she was convicted a couple of months back, but yesterday she received a fine-only sentence. No jail time. No probation.

  • Why don't the admit that the fake Air Force One from Qatar is not secure?

  • There is nothing that Trump can't bankrupt.

  • Messenger - Above the Fold.

Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

Two days later, it was national news.

  • That seemed like a tough case from the start.

  • I never really thought about fake turf actually being flammable.

  • What a huge problem for downtown Manhattan as a building being renovated to apartments from office space may collapse any second.

  • He finally found voter fraud and it is him.
  • Here we go again.

  • Iran has taken a dramatic turn:
    • Last night:

    • This morning:

    • Market reaction this morning:

  • Of course.

  • I'm not sure how caffeine-free BYU will handle this.
  • The quality and quantity of local DFW news from all the local TV affiliates and the big two newspapers (Morning News and Star-Telegram) has slowed to almost a trickle. Budget cuts are behind it, and I've never seen it worse.

Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

The death toll would rise to five.

  • "Jurors began deliberations in the guilt/innocence phase of Johnson County Sheriff Adam King’s retaliation trial at 4:05 p.m. Monday.  At 10:28 p.m., they were sent home without reaching a verdict. They will reconvene at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday."

  • Good grief

  • I don't know if this is true, but being in a hospital for three weeks without an official update doesn't sound good.

  • He's done.

  • Yesterday evening:

  • Kids, you speak for all of us.

  • Trump had some interesting stock advice yesterday. "Trump’s investment accounts bought between $1 million and $5 million of Dell stock in February." (That's Michael Dell and wife in the background.)

  • He's so unwell.

  • He's putting in a huge helipad on the back lawn of the White House.

  • The Business Second™.
  • Notable prosecutor death:

  • World Cup update on Team USA: What was that?
