Random Monday Morning Thoughts




A propane link was the cause of the damage to the home at Lake Bridgeport. 

  • The play by Decatur to send the game into overtime was a thing of beauty, and seems almost impossible to pull off.   Press box angle of it video. Baseline angle video. 

  • It only got 100 feet in the air on Saturday night before coming back down to the ground. This was a brand new helicopter delivered by Bell in December. No injuries, but I can find anything on the damage to the aircraft.

     

  • We don't know anything other than the headline. 

  • Ditto. 

  • I'm surprised they opened back up this quickly. 


  • Andy Hopper made the news as he went full Orwellian. He says the government can stamp out a particular religion by simply saying it is not a religion. 


  • Finally. 


  • The War.
    • Get ready.

    • This attack by Israel also impacted the water supply.   That's not the way to get the people of Iran to "rise up" which they so far have shown no indication to do.


    • More proof that the United States killed over 160 schoolgirls. 


    • Trump lied about killing over 160 schoolgirls on Friday. 


    • Meanwhile, the White House continued to post juvenile videos about the bombings. We are led by people with no decency and little regard for human life.
    • Trump attended the dignified transfer of dead soldiers over the weekend, but wore a cap.  Then, the next morning, Fox News ran outdated footage to try and cover for him.



    • Trump golfed after attending the ceremony.  On Sunday, another death of a U.S. serviceman was announced. 

    • Trump did not get to have a say on who the next leader of Iran is. The hardliner who was chosen has had his father, wife, and son killed in the war so far.

  • Maybe I'm missing it, but I can't find a single story in local DFW media about this. This means either there aren't enough journalists left to even cover any story that breaks on the weekend, or they can't confirm that this one is true. 



  • Israel should be given the Nobel Prize in manipulation.

This was in the Bridgeport Index 10 years ago this week.  Allen would suddenly pass away in 2022. What a great, great photo, and a message to us all. 

  • The bodycam videos are really incredible.   


  • I thought he would just ride the scandal out -- a tactic which seems to work these days. 

  • The Washingtom Post has far greater coverage of the trial going on in Fort Worth than any of the local media.  Gift link. 


  • Trump finally fired someone.  We knew she was going to be a disaster from day one, and she did not disappoint. 


    • Here is her replacement. He remained an election denier even after this. 

  • The Official Liberally Lean girl needs a lawyer (and a better spokesperson.) 

  • War news:
    • Oh, really? New this morning.

    • It doesn't work that way, hoss. 

    • There is no way we didn't kill over 150 school girls, and I don't know why there isn't a public outrage about it.
    • The White House released another insane video treating the war like it is all fun and games.  

  • Dateline Arkansas. I meant to post this yesterday.

Election results for the primary, 2016.

  • Trump is now trying to cancel the Texas Senate seat run-off and pick the winner between Cornyn and Paxton himself. 

  • The Dallas DA wasn't paying attention and lost his job. 

    • This was what his opponent was doing just last week. 

  • The war spread to a new country this morning:


  • I'm not sure the war on Iran is just the equivalent of a video game as the White House attempted to make us believe last night. "Following the recent escalation of the United States and Israel's joint military campaign against Iran, the White House has taken to X to share a video promoting its ongoing operations. In addition to real footage from recent attacks, the video includes a killstreak animation from 2023's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3."

  • Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth does not like you mentioning that an Iranian drone killed six servicemen when it hit a command center in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, on March 1, 2026..
    Quote from yesterday's press conference:


  • After repeatedly denying it, U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales finally admitted yesterday that he had an affair with a staffer who later set herself on fire.  He called it "a lapse in judgment."

  • There wasn't enough room in the headline to add that the protestor was a former marine and that you could hear the man's arm snap during the skirmish. Video.


  • She has to be hoping the stock market breaks 50,000 again before the hearing.

  • If there was ever a Texas candidate who needed to lose in her run for office and get only 10% of the vote, it is this lady.
