Wise County Courthouse on "Prison Break" Tonight

$1.15?

Story from the Star Telegram's website.

Uggh.

It's impossible to upload photos today for some reason. I'll try later.

You Would Not Believe The Amount of Spam I Get

Even with a set of complicated filters, I bet I get 200 junk emails a day. Maybe more.

Slow Posting Day

Hectic day: Sitting #2 on the trial docket in the County Court this morning only to be released to run to Jacksboro to do a plea on a third degree felony. I thought about running by Runaway Bay to see the burned down condos but didn't.

Vanished

I also noted that the Messenger's Joe Duty had a photo published on the front page (!) of the Sunday Dallas Morning News as a "special contributor." I tried to find it on the News' website but Joe, sadly, doesn't exist.

Noteworthy

Uh Oh

Terrell Owens has broken a finger. His right ring finger to be exact. A very expensive finger.

Midnight Express

Yet another movie I rented based upon the fact it's supposed to be a classic. The Plot: Based upon a true story, a guy gets thrown into a Turkish prison for trying to smuggle hashish out of the country. Notable: Directed by Oliver Stone and the co-star is a very lean and very young Randy Quaid. Why the name?: The only way to get out of prison is the Midnight Express - a name for "escape" - but as one of the characters says, "It doesn't run through here." Lead actor trivia: A guy named Brad Davis was the star and did a great job. A little research revealed that he took his own life in the 1990s by assisted suicide after contracting AIDS. Overall rating: Outstanding.

It's That Popular?

Saw a full page ad today for the Rockettes Christmas Show at Nokia Live in Grand Praire. Between November 10th and December 3rd, there will be 40 shows. 40! There's that much of a demand for the Rockettes?

The Gaylord Texan Has A Nightclub?

Described as: "Glass Cactus" nightclub is a nearly $16 million, 39,000 square-foot venue, including 13,000 square feet of decking, overlooking Lake Grapevine. Glass Cactus will offer nightly live entertainment, dancing, creative cocktails, and "club cuisine". I was able to find these two pics of it.

Paradise Makes The DMN Home Page . . .

. . . (in a sad way) as the paper covers the dangers of 18 wheelers.
