Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

There would be a movie about it, Bombshell, three years later.

  • Dateline Edgewood, Texas in Van Zandt county. Population l,530.  Yuck

  • A Fort Worth private school got hit with a jury verdict. (Legal nerdy stuff: The story includes a PDF of the jury charge and verdict.)

  • It just keeps going on.

    • It just keeps going up.

  • I continue to be confused about how this fire is still going.

  • Dateline Ohio. The safety on the gun was still on. Video

  • That's a good gig if you can get it.

  • There is no bottom. From being jealous of the "man in the red bandana" to saying he had to be recused by firefighters.

  • I haven't watched any of the U.S. Open, but I could have in the middle of the night.

  • Three of the Lindsay Clancy jurors are now talking and confirm that it was 11-1 for not guilty.

Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

We've put up with him for so long.

  • Bad wreck in Wise County:
  • This is probably a lost cause.

  • One day after Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff left following the "negotiations":

  • Uh, it's a state prosecution so it doesn't work that way. (He said this today on Good Morning America.)

  • It's Trumpapalooza time in Dallas. It will compete with NFL games on Wednesday and Thursday.

  • From the "Let Them Eat Cake" department:
    • Ivanka posts a video of her riding horseback on the beach.

    • She shows off her luxury apartment in Miami.

    • But the rest of us just need to trust him.

  • Rep. Ronny Jackson posted this yesterday.  Did Americans take a 60 day holiday after July 4, 1776?
  • The SMU-Florida State game was delayed last night for almost two hours because they couldn't get the power turned on in Tallahassee.

  • Regarding the Lindsay Clancy mistrial, have we not heard from any of the jurors yet? That's surprising.

Random Monday Morning Thoughts

That was a wild tenure.

  • Video.

  • This flight was from Dallas to Newark, NJ.  The man, Layne A. Lundeen, 67, of Tucson, Arizona was later fired from his job in real estate.

  • Rep. David Spiller (R-Jacksboro) has unwillingly made it into a new James Talarico ad.

    • Meanwhile, here comes the MAGA money and Elon money for Paxton so prepare yourself to see a ton of ads:

  • Get married. Have a kid. Stay home. Get a $9,000 check per-child per-year.

  • The Amon Carter, Jr. War is over.

  • The two real estate guys went to Moscow to meet with Putin to try and end the war in Ukraine, but it turned into a love-fest as you would expect.  Video
  • The Nazis are on the rise again in Germany.

    • Meanwhile in the U.S.: It probably would have been a big seller in Trump country.

  • The hair has gone brown.

  • "One of the games, 'Rio Run,' a variation on the popular Snake computer game, has players 'deport' migrants along the Rio Grande along the U.S.-Mexico border."  Once again, it is so goulish.

  • This volleyball game was on national TV last night on Fox. The game had to be suspended for the night.  Video (which is pretty crazy)
  • Archie Manning assassination attempt on Saturday! Video.

  • His last confirmed annual compensation was in 2015 at $32 million when the NFL league office was considered a non-profit and had to file public tax returns. Who knows what it is up to now.

  • This might be the greatest trailer for a documentary ever.

  • THWMISB™.
