That's not the highest. 10-15 years ago Ennis had the highest paying coach at $106K, from what I remember.

God forbid we reward talent and those who make more for us than they cost us. Evil. We should instead instruct school district leaders to go to the nearest Wal Mart and offer a head coaching job to the first person that's willing to do it for a math teacher's salary, regardless of ability to coach.

I agree with 2:58 why do we need so many coaches on the team?
At a job interview have you ever been ask were you a football player in high school ? No but they will ask about a high school diploma !

We can very easily bring coaching salaries down to a level similar to academic instructors. It's very, very simple. All that needs to happen is for all those people who pay for a ticket when a team wins do exactly the same if the team loses, without fail.
