Did the world really need Terrence Crutcher?

Bravery at its best. The thin blue line.

Told to show hands, refused, told to stop, refused, was reaching in to his vehicle, got shot. Could have this been preventable? absolutely.

Anonymous said...

Man, why did that guy put his arm down and reach into the vehicle? What are cops supposed to think these days? This is a vicious circle that needs to stop. Way too many thugs, way too many cops on edge.

Anonymous said...

Cops have the right to go home at the end of the day. The helicopter footage is telling. Comply with orders and everyone lives another day.

Anonymous said...

If he would have gotten used to listening to LEO's and following their commands then he would still be breathing today now wouldn't he?

Anonymous said...

The part about him reaching into his vehicle after being told to show his hands, will be drowned out by all the media, BLM, and the rest. The facts will absolutely not matter.

Anonymous said...

Comply with orders or die? Do you realize how that sounds in a free society? That man in the video was murdered. It's no wonder citizens are beginning to shoot back. Cops are little more than thugs with an itchy trigger finger. We live in fear and tyranny not because of arab terrorists but because law enforcement has decided it can kill indiscriminately.

Anonymous said...

Obammy could cool the tension in Tulsa by just saying this was workplace violence.

Anonymous said...

He was murdered bc he didn't follow orders you bafoon! What part of that did you not understand? The "comply with orders or I'll shoot" or "put your hands where I can see them" part? I totally understood it but then again I follow orders and understand English.

Anonymous said...

Comply with orders or die? Do you realize how that sounds in a free society?

Do you understand how you sound?

Anonymous said...

He was black in public. That's all the excuse they needed.

Anonymous said...

Comply or die? Who do you pigs think you are? Judge, jury, & God wrapped into one? Did you even watch the video? Does it even matter to you or is your love for your firearm so great, you prefer it to a real person's life?

Any cop who sees and agrees with that video needs therapy. These police shootings will stop when citizens begin tracking these murderers home at night.

If you want to use your gun so bad, do the community a favor and use it on yourself.

12:03, it's you. And that's all it is. You.

Anonymous said...

Three previous murder convictions; four for arson; sixteen warrants for armed robbery, etc.

Anonymous said...

Yet 11:15 and 12:03 have no outrage over black on black or black on white crime even though cop shootings are a fraction of a percent of deaths of blacks. Stop feeling and use logic liberal hand wringers.

Anonymous said...

Fear your local police. They are psychotic murderers.

Anonymous said...

The headlines describe him as having his hands up. But he didn't. He was reaching into the vehicle. You can see it plainly. What the heck? And why can't police shoot people in the leg or something? Or why can't a police officer's first bullet in the Chamber be a non-lethal stopper, with the rest being the real deal? The officer DID NOT want to shoot this guy. You can hear it in her voice, for crying out loud, when she calls out immediately after.

Anonymous said...

Wow the media is absolutely lying on this one. He reaches into the vehicle. It's there on record. His "hands" were not up in the air when he was shot. Period. End of lying.

Anonymous said...

12:03 stupid statement by a stop person. Why do so many black people have a problem listening to lawful orders by a P.o? Are Black people stupid ? Democrats think they are apparently. To stupid to get a free state issued I.D to vote. When a P.O has his weapon pointed at you you probably aught to listen and comply. Not a racist a Realist.....

Anonymous said...

I wonder what ever happened to people following simple instructions? Don't walk to your car? Don't reach in your car? Lay down spread eagle. I am sure all of these things were said, but my man just kept walking aimlessly around until he reached in the car. He put his hands down to reach in car. They were not up. I had my hands up in the air once in my life does that make me in a permanent state of surrender?

Did Brandon Davis join the Tulsa Police?

If I had a blog whose audience consisted solely of people who never saw a black guy that didn't need killing, I'd shut it down and beg for forgiveness from God for ever having assembled such a bunch of trash as assembles here daily.

Anonymous said...

That is a terrible thing to say.

OP

Anonymous said...

What about white on white crime? That occurs more than black on white crime. Funny, no one mentions that.

I don't know the full story here, but it sounds like many are taking sides without all of the facts.

BTW, I support LEOs, but I expect them to follow the same laws as the rest of our citizens.

OP

Anonymous said...

I agree that it is terrible but you didn't answer my question.

9:12

Anonymous said...

Orders? I don't have to follow no stinkin orders!!

Anonymous said...

1:17 Nice try Nasreen. The audience is opposed to the media and blacktivists immediately labeling the cop as a murderer when the facts are unclear at best. You are part of the problem, yet you are too high on your soapbox to see it.
You disgust me.

To 11:15 The issue is more complex than "do you realize how that sounds in a free society."

When I am faced with complex issues I frequently turn to the world of physics for answers, which, happily, offers a brilliant insight into the complexity of this problem.

in 1935, a physicist name Schrodinger came up with a theory to demonstrate the flawed logic of another theory. Schrodinger placed a cat inside a sealed box with a sealed bottle containing a radioactive sample, a Geiger counter, and a sealed bottle containing a poisonous gas, which was attached to the Geiger counter. theorizing that the cat might play with free rolling bottle containing the radioactive sample, the Geiger counter was modified to break the seal on the poison if radioactivity was detected, in turn killing off the cat. The theory Schrodinger opposed stated that in such a setting, where one could not observe the results, the cat was presumed to be both dead and alive so as to not risk being wrong on either count. But, as Schrodinger pointed out, the cat can't be both dead AND alive at the same time. Similarly, Police Officers who observe suspects ignore clearly understood instructions are asked by the likes of you to PRESUME no malicious intent on the part of the suspect when he or she hides their hands or makes an attempt to move their hands into a structure, vehicle or jacket which the officers are unable to see through to gauge the reality for the potential for violence. Requiring officers to presume no risk in such settings is roughly the equivalent of believing the cat is both dead and alive simultaneously. Yeah Physics.

He complied by raising his hands, but refused to comply with any other commands? Well he created the situation, not the police.

One less.

Anonymous said...

Bless you idiots who have watched this video and still too stupid to see what the subject did wrong.

Anonymous said...

What was he reaching for?

Anonymous said...

Here lies Terrence Crutcher, four slugs from a carpet muncher, no comply, Terrence die.

There is unrest in the forest
There is trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas

The trouble with the maples
And they're quite convinced they're right
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade?

There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream 'oppression!'
And the oaks, just shake their heads

So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
'The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light'
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet,
Axe,
And saw

@2:04: I'm okay with the notion of disgusting you.

I mean, more or less. I mean, it might be tough, late in the night, knowing some anonymous person online didn't like something I said, but I'll probably manage to muddle through somehow.

In the end, the facts will be, that the officer pulling the trigger of her service weapon after the other officer had tazed the same victim, will be found to have pulled the trigger while in panic mode, and will be sent to training for "retraining".

Facts, father of 4 is dead.

Dead man broke no laws.

Dead man had his hands in the air per the video, even though popo said he did not.

Dead man had at least 2 officers yelling commands at him. Which one was he supposed to listen to?

Dead man had already been tazed.

Dean man had no weapon.

Dean man, is dead.

Cops get to go home.

Some of you folks should visit Kenya or Ethiopia sometime, feel what is like to be the minority. That would change your tune.

2:19

Apparently nothing.

Anonymous said...

Bad shoot. Every cop that I've discussed this with feels that way.

Anonymous said...

Hands up? Not at all. Looks like he was just fine and so were the cops...until he put his hands DOWN and was messing around into the open window.

Anonymous said...

The media is officially insane. He LOWERED his hands. They were not up when he was shot.

Anonymous said...

I think some on this blog need to watch the police training videos that are full of the dead cops that DIDN'T pull the trigger when the perp reached back into the vehicle.

Anonymous said...

Well he created the situation, not the police. 2:16

What did he expect when his car broke down? You don't break down on a public roadway! Plus he was black and "looked like a bad dude". Break down on a public roadway AND black in public? That's just asking for it.

Anonymous said...

I know a few cops. Well, two. Both have told me they are about done. Just too much risk on the job, with no reward. No feel good moments anymore. Just the gut clinching fear of not going home.

So, if this continues, and many law enforcement folks leave the profession, it will be really interesting to see how liberals react. I wonder if they will be able to protect themselves?

Somehow, I doubt it. Back to the old west.

Anonymous said...

Since when is not complying with police commands a death warrant?

Anonymous said...

The part about him reaching into his vehicle after being told to show his hands, will be drowned out by all the media, BLM, and the rest. The facts will absolutely not matter. 10:43

You mean like the fact the door was closed, the windows were rolled up and he wasn't reaching for anything? The fact that woman murdered him will be quickly covered up by TPD. But don't let those facts get in your way of praising another civilian murdering cop.

Anonymous said...

So... I guess he won't be starting school in the fall?

Anonymous said...

Comply or die in a hostile situation! U think that sounds bad? You must live under a rock. A key the law and that shit doesn't happen

Anonymous said...

Maybe they should have used ghetto slang!

Anonymous said...

I cried thru the whole movie.

Anonymous said...

I know a few cops. Well, two. Both have told me they are about done. Just too much risk on the job, with no reward. No feel good moments anymore. Just the gut clinching fear of not going home. 8:25

Maybe if they weeded out the bad cops instead of covering for them there wouldn't be any gut clinching fear. Cops cultivated this situation.

Affirmative action scared female cop kills scary black guy. So sad.

Soros ginning up BLM vs. cop agitprop has paid off.

When law enforcement seizes more property under civil asset forfeiture than all the thieves and burglars in the country, we have systemic problems.

They are starting to look and act like another gang.

Can we go back to having peace officers instead of LEO's or is it too late?

Give me a decade in Kenya and I would have the biggest plantation on earth with a stable of marathon runners at my disposal.

Cops and their suck-ups: "Stop generalizing about us! Most of us are good!!! Stop painting us with the same brush!"

Turn right around in the same breath and say: "If you don't follow commands and you're male then you're a bad dude. We are now allowed to execute you."

Sorry deaf people. Sorry those on meds. Sorry those off meds. Sorry mentally ill. Sorry those who are just afraid. Sorry those who don't understand. Sorry suicidals.

YOU are fair game.

But hey, don't generalize about cops. You might hurt their feelings and they're afraid.

So very afraid.

Let me guess, he was a gentle giant who was turning his life around...?

Donald Trump says the female TPD officer "got scared and choked" when she shot the suspect that was "doing nothing wrong with his hands up leaning against the vehicle".
