Both parties have silly celebrity spokespersons, but this guy has to be among the silliest.

If you'd ever heard Phil Robertson speak, you'd have to amend your "silly" assessment. Robertson is not only devout, but he is educated having attended Louisiana Tech University, where he played football (highly touted player with leadership qualities; look it up, I did) and received a master's degree in education spending several years teaching afterwards.

Barry, I figured you know all about Robertson by now and are just trolling; but honestly, what's wrong with the guy (other than being a white, southern Christian?).

What makes Robertson "silly"? The beard? Long Hair? Whiteness? Plus, he's a conservative who doesn't look like one. That probably frightens the democrats...

No, what makes him "silly" is his desire to "rid the earth" of gays, his belief that STDs are the result of hippies (or gays, or "sex, drugs, & rock and roll," depending on what day you ask), the way he relies on David Barton as an historical expert, his belief the fact that we we live in 2016 is definitive proof that Jesus existed, and the fact that his imagination spun a revolting fictional tale of home invaders raping, torturing, mutilating, and murdering as proof that atheists have no morals.

Obtaining a degree does not magically impart wisdom or knowledge onto a person. See, e.g., Phil Robertson.

Looks like Taliban to me. Need to deport him ASAP.

Well, if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a bigoted ignorant nut job from the Louisiana swamps.

Let's do a little logic experiment for a moment:

Because Bill Clinton is good with people, would you hire him to mentor a group of chunky brunette college girls?
Because his music connects well with young people, would you hire Ted Nugent to babysit your sexually precocious 16 year old daughter?
Because he is a man of the cloth, would you hire Archbishop John Clayton Nienstedt to run a sleep-away camp for altar boys?
Just because he makes a good duck call & could sling a football, would you accept the recommendation of Phil Robertson for the leader of the free world?

Good at one thing doesn't mean good at all things. Sorry.

He also dated and married one of his 16 year old students, there's you another, and another!

Thank you, 2:11.

C'mon, if he supported Hillary you would just call him eccentric!

Well, Robertson only has two choices on his LOTFW pick and one of them is Hillary....so yes, I'll accept his recommendation given this set of circumstances!!! The same common sense it takes to keep Bill, Nugent and Nienstedt away from from potential victims is the same common sense Robertson has on display here!

But you are right, nobody is good at all things, if Robertson starts talking computational mathematics or cryptanalasis I will snicker the way you did here. Good day sir!

after reading all the comments, I see how tragically mistaken I must have been about Phil Robertson. I bow to peer pressure. I say we murder the bigoted neanderthal after we ruin his business and his reputation. Let me be the first to tell everyone he's some kind of religious nut!

This guy quacks me up.
