Pete Delkus Wasn't Quite Nostradamus Last Night

The bottom post came out around 11:00 p.m. (But by using the subjective word "severe" yet predicting "lightning, thunder and . . . hail" pretty much gives him a heck of a lot of wiggle room.)

Thank goodness, however, that Channel 5 was on top of it this morning. Critical live reporting from an area gas station, during which (not kidding) the camera panned to a landscape bush that was wiggling in the breeze, and to the wetness on the pavement; which was contrasted to the dryness that is usually there when it's not wet. I feel sorry for the field reporters when they are cut to and there is absolutely nothing to report. Just love it when they pan to a highway shot and how "this rain is impacting your commute" while one or two cars go by at 70 mph.

I presume you know what Google is BG. Use it:

A severe thunderstorm warning (SAME code: SVR) is an alert issued when trained storm spotters or a Doppler weather radar indicate that a thunderstorm is producing or will soon produce dangerously large hail or high winds, capable of causing significant damage.

His relative humidity joke is getting old. Incest is not funny.

I'd love to know how much of a local news station's budget is wasted on pointless live-remote shots. Last night, on Fox 4, they had a reporter talking about Baylor from outside Baylor's football stadium. At 10:20 p.m.

Something happens involving a mayor or city council? You can bet they'll have a reporter standing outside city hall at 10 p.m., in the dark, talking about something that happened there 12 hours earlier. Are people so dumb that they can't understand what the reporter is talking about if they're not standing in front of the building where it happened??

Wait, don't answer that.

I had severe small hail and thunder at my house.

You are not alone, 9:56. I have always thought it was dumb.

Skip, quit doggin on Pete. It could be worse. We could have Al Gore as a weatherman. Speaking of Al, how are those 10 year predictions he made in his movie Inconvenient Truth 10 years ago working out? Oh the humanity!! I will give him credit though about global warming causing the rise of ISIS and not being caused by Obammy pulling our troops out of Iraq.
