I'm So Confused

Why are all those officers there in the photo? It looks like a photo opp for "we support law enforcement" but that doesn't make sense because the Texas Supreme Court does not have criminal jurisdiction.

For a campus cop, it must be a proud moment to be doing anything that seems like more than being a campus cop.

Maybe they were there to protect them from all those bikers! :-)

The alignment of people drives me crazy!
Why didn't they put justices in some sort of 'by height' order?
Why didn't they put the two shorter men on the front row in front of the women justices?
Why is the podium front and center in an obviously staged photo?

Cindy Berry -- please go teach a photojournalism class at Baylor!

They're there just to give you the fits.

You know as Republicans they're required to run on the Cop Lives Mater platform.

Or, maybe they're there to protect the justices from the Loose Cannon, or the Bench Farter.

Anyone remember those guys?

All this just one day after Baylor and Briles got sued in federal court by another rape victim.

There are lots of civil means to support LE, too, B.G.

As a cop who has been named in a garbage lawsuit which was thrown out, I appreciate a judge who at the very least will look at the officer's POV.

Maybe they were simply invited to be in the photo, as fellow human beings.

The next time I see a photo of Barack Obama mingling with locals, let's be sure to ask "now...what is the significance of Obama with this semi-retired auto mechanic? Is it somehow a statement about the relationship between the unions and how they are mishandling pensions? Obama does not have anything to do with auto mechanic shops...so why in the hell is he taking this picture?"

Actually, it doesn't look like anything at all other than the folks in the room posing for a picture. But, if it needs to have some hidden, sinister meaning to it other than "hey..y'all come on over and get in the picture" then I guess feel free to take it there. We all know cops are evil and should be gotten rid of to allow the good folks of America to live in peace and harmony as they of course would immediately.
