Let me guess...it's the highway's fault. Poor design. Poor surface. Or maybe there's a lawsuit coming for inadequate notification of danger to the motorist (meaning nobody from the government in the vehicle letting the driver know that cold plus wet plus invincibility complex plus panic equals flip.
I have noticed vehicles just flip over more, even on dry, pretty days. Would hate to be on ice in truck or suv. I trust a good stable front wheel drive car...has gotten me safely home in rain, snow, ice driving FTW & Decatur back and forth to work many years.
Only about 8 states are wanting new gun laws and bans. All the rest have no plans for bans and some that don't have concealed carry laws are looking at changing that. And a few want laws that will make it so that their state will not be able to inforce any new federal gun bans..
How would any gun law address the growing trend of mass shootings in the good ol' USA? Obama is looking for the easy answer...he doesn't want to debate this or dig deeper to find the real reasons. The NRA, nor its members, bear any responsibility for the mass shootings. They didn't make this kid crazy. Bad parenting and bad prescription drugs were more to blame than anything.
The Urbanites that support new gun laws do not understand guns the way we do. All a gun is to them is something a gangster or bad guy carries. It is always associated with death or crime. A gun to me is simply a tool, like a hammer or a saw. When I need to use it or need a new one I shouldn't have to encounter more red tape. They are going to punish the many because of the few.
Devil: you are spot on w/ "don't want to dig deeper to find real reasons". So more restrictive laws will be written, gun crime will persist, and more restrictive laws will be written...... and gun (and other violent) crime will persist. Because guns are not the problem. Same thing w/ socialism. The poor are among us in this great land of opportunity, and it's not because their welfare check is not large enough. But we make productive people serfs to the able unproductive (not talking about disabled) people. And poverty persists. So we make their welfare check bigger, taking those who choose to work deeper into serfdom,,,,and poverty persists. It seems like it would work, it feels like it should. But it doesn't, because that's not the problem. And it's lazy to continue to use the same tired old solution, which hasn't worked any where it has been tried. Oh, wait, that's right, the right people just haven't done it yet. We'll do it right, won't we? And we would never need to defend ourselves against our government, or people coming into our houses, would we?

Elect someone else if you want change. Hell, run for office.....you may have a chance if you can get enough of those "they's" out of office.
Oh, by the way, if you win, then you become a "they" when this kind of heaping pile does not work for "Us". Or convince "us" and "they" to your opinion. Then it becomes "we".
