Meet The New Boss, Same As The Old Boss

Whether a Republican or Democrat is in charge, it's the same old, same old. The details aren't out yet but let me guess: The feds find some dumb guy on the Internet who likes to type "Death to the USA" and then they suck him in, set him up with what looks like a complicated bomb that he never in a million years would be able to create himself, and then arrest him when he tries to detonate the fake bomb.

It's the same routine used in Dallas a few years back.

I first heard of this "catch the dumb guy as part of the War on Terror" trick on This American Life.  I listened to that episode about it three or four times and I was always struck with how over-the-top zealous the U.S. Attorney who prosecuted the case sounded. It was only when I went back and listened to it the last time that I caught his name: Christopher Christie. Yep, that Chris Christie.

Rather them lock up a hundred
death to America dummies that
let one figure out how to build
and detonate one.

"Yep, that Chris Christie." Oh, the fat governor of New Jersey who loves donuts? Who would have thought?

I don't have a problem with prosecuting dumb people who want to kill other people.

These dumb people are exactly who terror groups look for to carry out their attacks.

And your answer to fighting home grown terrorists? Oh that Chris Christie, the one that now has his states fiscal house in order that had been headed for bankruptcy by liberal weenies?

This home grown terrorist was
from Bangladesh, came here to
blow crap up and was trying to
recruit a crew to help him.
Thank you Mr. Law Dog for taking
him down.

Next thing you know, we'll be declaring war on Labia.

Did I say that out loud?

Barry, sometimes your liberalism is downright sickening. As the details are coming out tonight I can't help but feel a bit embarrassed for you. Maybe wait for details next time.

This guy was here on a visa with the sole purpose to blow up Manhattan.

So, using your logic, we should allow terrorists to come in, buy explosives, and then NOT deter them from pushing the button.

Wonder if the liberal thought process is the same on Manhattan right now?

I'm guessing we have an "edit" on this post before the night is through.

So Barry, what's your point?

I like the justice departments other program better. You know the one where we allow straw buyers to load up on high powered weapons and take them to Mexico to be used to kill hundreds of people including two US government agents and then blame Mexico's gun problem on our gun laws. I think it was called Fast and Furious.

Too bad they didn't catch the dumb people before 9/11 and all the attacks around the world since then. If so, there would be a lot of people with their families right now.

I bet all the victims' families are pretty upset that Homeland Security is picking on this guy. They might hurt his feelings or impede his 'right' to blow innocent people to pieces.

Why do liberals think it's "American" to allow people to kill us?

I'm at a loss.

How do you expect to survive as a country and a society when you allow people to kill you and your family?

That's not "American". That's rolling over and dying.

What's all the sirens and gun shot sounds in Bridgeport last night around 9 pm ? Thought maybe there was trouble at Reds but didn't see anything.

If your goal was to prompt responses you got em. It does not make any difference how stupid or dumb somebody is if they are willing to set off a bomb. If they are mental or just hate they were still willing to set the bomb off. You need to step back and read what you posted and look at it from a broader perspective. If somebody is willing or can be talked into setting off a bomb in a place full of people they do not need to here or anywhere for that matter.

I think Barry's point is that an awful lot of time and effort is being expended by federal agents in creating fictional "plans" to ensnare incompetents who mean us harm; and that cannot possibly help but take away those same resources from efforts to identify and stop the genuinely sinister coordinated plans against us that are no doubt really out there.

It's nice to ger a guy like this off the streets, but it's hardly the "coup" it's sold as. The fed's PR machine throws out smoke screens like this to sell us a false sense of security, to keep us fat and happy, and to advance their own careers.

And the real shame is that this is the very kind of self-centered, misguided inefficiency that the REAL bad guys are counting on, to provide cover while they slip through the cracks.

And they also want us "fat and happy"... right up to the moment they hit.

So get off your so-called 'conservative' high horses. "Liberal weenies" aren't the enemy. They seem to be the only ones exercising genuine critical thinking to try and protect our asses from the real threats out there.

Its a fake. The real story was that a exemployee with a pint of whiskey told the fed to blow him and they got angry and made this story up.

This is Obama's fault.
