Oh no where have my fellow common sence republicans gone? We are take a whipping in November There is no excitement Where did that McCain come from, lost as a freshman, jv, and varsity.....why do we let him speak for us. Oh boy..that rice lady gonna speak. Cngress is not even home, what happened when we republicans paid our bills, worked and worked, and built America!
All of my grandsons teachers have been there before. Every year, there are new teachers, along with the teachers that were there before. Quit stirring the pot!
All of my kids have veteren teachers. Ditto w/every year some leave and we get new ones. I am happy with the teachers my kids have and I am happy with their education.
I think the naysayers in Decatur are a very vocal minority. We have a solid school system in our town despite the state (AKA) REPUBLICAN interference.
Here is a good test question for you. How many teachers (new or veteran) are teaching NEW grade levels due to a principal that makes poor decisions? Now that's some great leadership there. Let a teacher get comfortable with what she or he is teaching and then move them to a different grade again. I bet that serves kids real well...a kid could go through Rann elementary and have a teacher teaching a subject for the first time every year of elementary school. Doesn't matter how many new teachers the school has. What does matter is whether or not your child is getting a teacher tha has been thrown around from grade level to grade level. Get the picture?
7 Member board..2 new ladies 1 old guy there forever, who is a idiot leaves a majority of 4 who control everything. There is nothing changed. The 2 new ladies have zero impact.
Maybe teachers should become more flexible and able to deal with change. I'm also aware of teachers who moved up a grade and got some of their students from the previous year. They were horrified how much those same kids forgot over the summer. They learned not to blame the previous teachers when the previous teachers were - themselves.
We will see if these ladies and "one old man" have any impact if we all see more money spent on athletic buildings like stands, fences and such so and so. It's time for the public to understand what is going on there. If that athletic board builds one more athletic thing it's time we get a board that cares about our academics! Surely the ladies will stop this nonsense?

New to the District that is. All of the non-brown nosers, friends, and family members got canned.
New Decatur teachers....new school board.....those ladies making changes already.
There is a big difference in a change and an improvement.

The Decatur system has gone to Hell, and adding the Republican interference is like adding fuel to the fire. The end is near!

Rann Elementary has two new teachers this year.
Wow - all those teachers are just leaving the district right and left (and yes, that is sarcasm for those of you who weren't sure).
The new teachers at rann are relatives or family of sorts of the Admin.
Getting rid of good teachers for buddies is the new fad.

Decatur ISD is a great place, even Mr. Barry lives here! If he lives here, he, by defacto, (whatever defacto means) must think this is a cool place!
