The powers-that-be in Austin are going to be PISSED OFF if there's no vacancy to fill in the Lieutenant Governor position. That means all of those lower level politicians can't leap frog themselves up into higher positions.

Surprised Cruz is ahead. I ignore the TV ads but they drone on in the background. What penetrates is "Dewhurst,,,Dewhurst,,,Dewhurst,,,Dewhurst,,,Dewhurst,,,I'm Ted Cruz and I approved this message". Don't know what was said about Dewhurst but his name was spoken 5 times versus 1 for Cruz. There is a percentage of voters will show up at the booth, scratch their head and "I remember that name". Not that it matters to me, I already voted for Saddler.

Newark hired off duty Rhome police as security after the library bomb scare. That goes to show they are not the least trusted force.
Sadler is a great guy. Even more so when compared to Cruz and Dewlittle.
The creepiest one of all is Craig James. Who lied to that guy and gave him the impression that he was important? What a gigantic P.O.S.

What pisses me off is that I can't escape this race.
Took the family to the Rangers game Saturday and as we are walking up to the stadium, there were a bunch of Cruz supporters holding signs and screaming "Vote Cruz" at us. Then, I go to the water closet between innings and I hear Nolan over the loudspeaker pushing Dewhurst.
Why can't I take my family on a family outing without being bothered by that garbage?
