Don't forget to vote in the Decatur School Board Elections!
I am concerned about the impending exit of so many quality teachers from Decatur ISD. What is th cause?
The EPA is over estimating the emmissions coming from oil and gas developemnt proving Obama is at war with the industry. Wise County is being added to the ozone nonattainment zone without data from air monitors or research on emmissions from the oil/gas industry. It appears the Messenger is adverse to the industry but I'm curious to see how they approach the new ruling from the EPA Al Armanderiz who resigned last week after his "Crucify" statements made in Dish two years ago.
What teachers are leaving?
It is easy to see why we got thrown in. Look at all the Dodge Cummins Diesels that these Wise County Rednecks trick out with a 10 inch stack coming out of the bed with black smoke billowing out when they stomp on the accelerator at the lights in Decatur. Talk about looking dumb. Looks like Karma is getting them for laughing at the smoke they like blowing on cars behind them. Like putting glass packs on a kia.
Oil trucks slinging mud and careless regard for landowners property got the EPA on them. Some people have had enough of their carelessness.
Good article in Messenger on local races. Decatur school board and Rhome. Go Hafner! Rhome is a mess! Get new blood in both races for the future's sake!
Decatur is losing some good ones!
Wheels are coming off
11:14 Some people who don't like oil/gas exploration on their property should own their mineral rights if you live in Wise County! Throwing mud does not create smog! Cars, buses, trucks, boats, aircraft, chainsaws, lawnmovers create the majority of VOC emissions, 13 times more than the oil/gas industry. If you are anti-gas drilling, I suggest you invest in solar panels and buy an electric car. Natural gas creates jobs and is an economical way for power plants to make electricity! Since the only air monitor here in Wise County is located at Eagle Mountain lake, it can't provide the data for the entire county. I've lived next to a major highway and know how traffic can impact air quailty! Since moving to Wise County, I've enjoyed being outside most of the time! Also, I don't hear anyone complaining about gas drilling when they own their mineral rights and get a nice fat check in the mail!
