Yes, it is true. A sweet lady from Boyd, Nancy Newby-Brown was struck by a 21 year old female, right at dusk. There is a story in the Messenger already. Mrs. Brown was a retired Springtown school teacher, still very active in the community. She will be missed by many.
Orange paint EVERYWHERE on the road this morning. Looks like it was pretty ugly last night. Bad deal. Feel sorry for the lady that hit her. That will be hard to deal with, even though she did nothing to contribute to it but drive through at the wrong time.
She was out at the road all the time. I would see her often at her gate watering flowers and picking up trash that was in the ditch on both sides of the road. The ditch was always manicured like a park by her fence.
